Located in the Miami area, the St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort is an oceanfront property that delivers a luxury experience to its guests. This new restaurant is the latest that the resort has to offer and it pays homage to the Greek culture.
Greek native and chef du cuisine, Anastasios Chasekiglou, has designed the menu and the concept for the restaurant. The restaurant features high end Greek cuisine that uses traditional recipes and ingredients. menu offerings include grilled octopus with fava, which is a favorite dish in Greek cuisine. Chasekiglou also uses traditional ingredients, such as manouri cheese and honey, both of which are a part of the cuisine in Greece. Other offerings include halva made with semolina, and ice cream made from Greek yogurt.
The new restaurant, Atlantikós, was designed by Michael Wolk Design Associates, who created the new concept over the restaurant space that was already there. The new restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating to give guests plenty of options. The decor itself was inspired by the island of Santorini and uses the traditional Greek colors of bright blue and white, which are the colors of the Greek flag and also common colors found throughout the island.
The Bal Harbour, Florida website says that guests will be treated to, “an exquisite culinary experience,” and that the restaurant is, “the best restaurant in Miami.” They pride themselves on their high quality offerings, and are happy to share the Greek culture with their guests. The restaurant is currently open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner at 9703 Collins Avenue in Bal Harbour, Florida. You don’t need to be a guest at the hotel in order to enjoy the cuisine!
