(Missoula, Montana, United States) – The Greek Festival at the Annunciation Church in Missoula, Montana will take place this weekend on Friday, July 15, 2016 and Saturday, July 16, 2016. The festival gives members of the community, not just Greeks, a chance to experience the Greek culture. Guests can enjoy Greek music, shop for Greek goods, dance, and eat the delicious Greek food that has been prepared by hand by festival guests. In addition to that, there will also be some activities for the kids as well as various events, such as a live Greek band, Greek dance lessons, and a cooking demonstration.
For most of the festival guests, however, the thing they’re looking forward to is eating the Greek specialty foods that will be available at the festival. There will be a full menu on both days as supplies last, and people can enjoy their food in a lively setting at the festival itself or in the comfort of their own homes by getting takeout. Guests are also welcomed to do both by buying plenty of food so that they can take some of it home to enjoy long after the festival is over! Greek specialty dishes to eat include Greek salad, dolmades, gyros, spanakopita, tiropita, souvlaki, and more. There will also be plenty of desserts to sample including baklava, koulourakia, loukoumades, kourabedies, and melamakarona. Greek coffees and frappes will also be available as well as Greek beer and wine.
The festival will take place at the grounds of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Missoula, Montana at 301 S 6th St West. This two-day festival begins on July 15, 2016 at 5 PM and goes until 10 PM. Festival hours on Saturday, July 16, 2016 are from 11 AM to 10 PM. The festival is made possible by volunteers as well as festival sponsors and supporter. All proceeds will benefit the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. Admission is free.
