Greek American Actor Zach Galifianakis Stars in ‘Keeping Up With the Joneses’

Galafianakis(United States) – Zach Galifianakis, a Greek American actor, stars in the new movie, Keeping Up With the Joneses, which will become available to watch in the cinemas sometime this October. The movie, which also stars Jon Hamm, Isla Fisher, and Gal Gadot, was directed by Greg Mottolo, who also directed Superbad and Paul. Gal Gadot is currently cast as the new Wonder Woman in addition to making this film. Although the movie isn’t in theaters yet, the trailer was just released. The movie is set in the suburbs and features an ordinary couple, played by Galifianakis and Isla Fisher, who have new neighbors. These neighbors are worldly and sophisticated and the couple is immediately suspicious of them. They decide to spy on them to find out more about them, and eventually learn that they are secret operatives. As the couple spies on the actual spies, they learn a little bit too much about their neighbors and the lives that they lead.

Zach Galafianakis was born in Wilkesboro, North Carolina but his family is from Greece. His grandparents on his father’s side came from Crete, Greece and his mother’s family was from Scotland. Galafianakis was baptized in the Greek Orthodox Church and remains close to the Greek culture. He was a communications major at North Carolina State University. He first got his start in entertainment as a writer on Saturday Night Live, but that gig didn’t last long. He eventually went to play in the cult classic comedy movie Hangover, which was an instant hit. He also played in movies such as Up in the Air, Youth in Revolt, It’s Kind of a Funny Story, Due Date, and the Hangover sequels.
