Personally i'm sick and tired of the media and especially Fox News bashing and humiliating Greece on TV. The Greek people have suffered tremendously. Even Mitt Romney bashed Greece the other day in NH. The media wants a civil war and bloodshed in Greece for ratings and to keep poking fun at Greece. Now thet are saying there will be a run on Greek Banks and but the time of the June 17th elections disaster will strike Greece even worse than now. WWG members should reach out to AHEPA AHI - the Greek Lobby and HALC in Chicago and get them to stop the bashing of Greece on TV and in the media. None of these media talking heads ever mention that Greece was invaded by the Romans ruled by the Turks for 400 yrs and destroyed by the Nazis. So what ever money Germany gives Greece even trillions of Euros in today's 2012 currency value doesn't even come close to what little Greece gave the world. When the Olympic Torch was brought to London this week Greece should have demanded the Parthenon Marbles back in a trade. No marbles no Torch ! If Greece leaves the Euro and goes back on the drachma it will be like having toilet paper or post US Civil War confederate money for a national currency. My main worry is the Turks will start a war with a decimated Greece. IF Romney gets elected he is a corporate raider and will sell Greece out. Romney's advisors are the same ones that started the fake war in Iraq looking for WMD's. Right now it looks like things will get much worse in Greece before they get better. If things do get worse unfortunately no one in the West will help Greece and Greece's political leaders will flee like rats jumping a sinking ship.

Turkey won't attack Greece because of its weakened state, it just doesn't work that way, and too late about the Olympic torch. But many things you're right about, especially the drachma being worth nothing and things getting worse before they get better...
In the book " The Confrontation by Professor Walid Phares [ who is Lebanese] it says the Turks want to re-establish the Otttoman Caliphate and take back the Balkans. I personally would not put it past the Turks to kick the Greeks while they are down and come up with some lame fake excuse to start a war either in Greece or Cyprus. I say be ready for anything . It is beter to be safe than sorry. Pesonally i think the Greeks in Cyprus and on Mainland Greece should pay the Russians and Vladimir Putin an annually Mafia Style protection fee to aim Nuclear warheads at Ankara from some secret location in Russia in case some crazy lunatic Turkish muslim fantatic General decides to start a war over the oil rights in Cyprus or if GOD FORBID Greece ends up in a brutal bloody civil war. At least the missles will become a deterrent and it would be much cheaper to do that than bloat the Greek defense budget with usless weapons like more German submarines. . It would be irresponsible for the Greek and Greek Cypriot defense ministers to think the Turks would never pull off a sneak attack or start a war . So it's not a matter of being paranoid . It's a matter of being ready no matter what.
Israel will never let Turkey threaten Greece. The Turks moving away from their friendship w/ Israel was a grave mistake, now Israel is working w/ Greece and Cyprus to explore the natural gas in the Med. and keep the Turks out. The Israeli air force would take out Turkey's in a matter of hours. The Greek military is built for defense and the Turks know this, this is exactly why NATO/USA have encouraged the Greeks to maintain a 70% parity w/ Turkey when it comes to defense spending, at this level it makes aggression by the Greeks unrealistic, while providing a formidable deterrent to Turkish aggression. NATO does not want a war between member states, it isn’t good for anyone. Why do you think the US just gave Greece 400 Abrahams tanks last fall, it’s to keep the balance between Greece and Turkey. Check out this site for a lot of good insight, make sure to read the comments….http://www.defencegreece.com/
Israel is going to deploy 20-30,000 troops in Greek Cyprus very soon. They say it is to protect their oil and gas interests. The truth is the Jews want to make Cyprus a colony and enslave the GreekCypriots in the years to come. IF Greece leaves the Euro and goes back on the drachma then has a civil war , this will make things bad for Cyprus leaving them at the mercy of the Israelis. The whole world is betting against the Greeks and the Jews aren't any different. Letting the Israeli troops in Cyprus is looking for trouble .

The Turks are waiting for a total Greek collapse before they try anything bold. IF Romney wins the election he will back the Turks 100% because they have a stronger economy and because of the problems in Syria. If Greece leaves the EU and goes back on the drachma it will leave a bitter taste in the mouths of it's Nato Allies. IF Turkey sides with Iran in an all out war vs Israel the Jews are in big time trouble. The Turks can put 5 million troops on the ground easily and take Cyprus in 10 days or less. Face reality the West will NOT help an economically devestated Greece in a war with the Turks. Only Russia an Orthodox Christian country will. Only Putin can make the Turks re-open the Halki school -seminary , Holy Agia Sophia and file a complaint about the destruction of the 500 Greek Orthodox Churches destroyed in TRNC. It's better to have a Russian base in Northern Cyprus and have them kick the Turks out than fantasize of hope from the West. Greece needs a leader like Putin with BIG BALLS ! Greece going back on the drachma would mean that the currency would be devalued by 50 % and it would be tough for Greece to get credit and import goods. The only drachma printing press is in a museum and it doesn't even work. Even today on Fox News the mavro Charles Payne made fun of Greece saying the Greeks don't work and the Germans support them. He said the Greeks haven't worked in 40 yrs on the Neil Cavuto show with Stuart Varney. The world wide Greek community should rise and fight back to stop these lies.

The times changed and the "art" of war too. Before 50 years it was a different kind of war. Today things tent to be more balanced... you don't even need soldiers. In Greece the service to the army during the years went from 24 months to just 6 and the total number of the army down to 50.000 men.
Somebody will ask... "Are you crazy? Don't you see that 70 million population country next to you with 600.000 army is a threat to you? Don't you see how aggresive they are?"
The answer is simple... "We don't need more army. Modern war is made mostly by machines and not with soldiers. The Greek forces are way more superior in quality than the turkish".
Yes, they take cheap shots under the belt against us. This is a part of their long term strategy and mostly to satisfy their fascistic ego but... starting a full scale war is a totally different thing. They suffer from megalomania... they want to be recognised as the policeman of the area but at the end... they always ask first US for a green light... they are incapable to do something on their own.
Why we let them playing like that? Our traitors politicians establish that pathetic stand against them so now it will need a change of balancies to go in a more aggresive mode. The thing is we don't need to bark like them... when the time will come... if it come... we will just bite them and they won't know what hit them.
At that point i want to inform you, since you don't live here and i live very close to the borders that the turks the last days moved all... and when i say all i mean ALL... their army to the front at Thrace.
They spend millions to move all this army there from all over turkey just cause they think they will stress us out. It is their common tactic every time we have elections or a celebration like 25th of March to move army or fly over the Aegean just to show off. Yet, never before they moved army in such a big scale as this time.
We see it in the radars... the whole valey is full of them but... they don't do anything cause they know... THEY WILL JUST DESAPPEAR FROM THE MAP and we don't need Russia to nuke them for that nor we are going to pay them. We are trying to get rid of the pimps... not invite more of them. After all Russia wouldn't do something like that anyway... it is just doesn't work this way.
Nuke is not good for us either. We want this land... it is our land... we won't nuke it. Besides that Ankara has nothing to do with a war. Their army is not there... it is at Thrace. A nuclear bomb at Ankara won't stop the war.
The bottom line is... they can move millions of soldiers if they want... the result will be the same for them.
We, us Greeks, have nothing to fear from the turks... it is the hidden enemy inside our own country we have to fight and win and you guys over there don't help at all.
We will remember that.

Do you have proof that the Obama administration supports KKE & Syria ? Show me where direct funds from the White House are being given to KKE & Syriza ? That is insanity ! Another crazy Greek conspiracy theory. Obama came out and said at the NATO G8 Summit in Chicago that he wants Greece to stay in the Euro. KKE & Syriza want Greece. out of the Euro .

The Jews will NEVER EVER shed their blood to save the Greeks in Cyprus. Quit pipedreaming. The Jews are strength players means when things are going well they are your friend but if things go bad they will run away from you and leave you flat faster than a NY Minute. Now there are denials about Israeli troop deployment in Cyprus. Personally i do not want them there.

Perhaps Russia who we have the same religion as or Serbia a friend that will have our backs against the Turks. I'm sick of us having to depend on the west especially when Greeks do not have alot of common aspects with these people (except of course the EU). Also the idea about the Parthenon marbles is a good idea but the most likely reason Greece did not do this plan is because we are not in any position to bargain, considering the current troubles. When people do not have bread to eat other issues seem very unimportant.
To me it's a no brainer to ask Russia to help the Greeks in Cyprus and on mailand Greece. Russia is going to re -vamp their military to the tune on 680 billion dollars. I have advocated this many time on the WWG website.

All these countries have the same religion and they all would be willing in my opinion to have some sort of mutual defense agreement.

On CNBC -World Wide Exchange Marina Xana a Greek Financial expert said IF Greece leaves the Euro and goes back on the drachma it will be total chaos in Greece. Greeks will NOT be able to import FOOD MEDICINE or OIL With no international credit or any backing. So how how are they going buy weapons to fight the Turks. They also said IF Greece leaves the Euro it will hurt Cyprus. Imagine Greece OUT of the Euro and Turkey becoming a full fledged member ! WHAT A NIGHTMARE ! All of the Greeks that don't consider Greek- Americans Greek ,{ people like me whose Grand parents immigrated from Greece and are 100 % and Greek Orthodox } WOULD JUMP AT THE CHANCE TO LEAVE GREECE NOW IN A HEART BEAT TO BECOME AMERICAN CITIZENS. I bet at least 50% of the Greek population especially Greeks 40 yrs old and under would leave Greece to become American Citizens. Greece is screwed for at least 10 more years and probably for decades to come. It's so sad to watch on TV.
