Personally i'm sick and tired of the media and especially Fox News bashing and humiliating Greece on TV. The Greek people have suffered tremendously. Even Mitt Romney bashed Greece the other day in NH. The media wants a civil war and bloodshed in Greece for ratings and to keep poking fun at Greece. Now thet are saying there will be a run on Greek Banks and but the time of the June 17th elections disaster will strike Greece even worse than now. WWG members should reach out to AHEPA AHI - the Greek Lobby and HALC in Chicago and get them to stop the bashing of Greece on TV and in the media. None of these media talking heads ever mention that Greece was invaded by the Romans ruled by the Turks for 400 yrs and destroyed by the Nazis. So what ever money Germany gives Greece even trillions of Euros in today's 2012 currency value doesn't even come close to what little Greece gave the world. When the Olympic Torch was brought to London this week Greece should have demanded the Parthenon Marbles back in a trade. No marbles no Torch ! If Greece leaves the Euro and goes back on the drachma it will be like having toilet paper or post US Civil War confederate money for a national currency. My main worry is the Turks will start a war with a decimated Greece. IF Romney gets elected he is a corporate raider and will sell Greece out. Romney's advisors are the same ones that started the fake war in Iraq looking for WMD's. Right now it looks like things will get much worse in Greece before they get better. If things do get worse unfortunately no one in the West will help Greece and Greece's political leaders will flee like rats jumping a sinking ship.

Turks won't become Euro members because THEYRE NOT NATIVE TO EUROPE :P theyre language is from asia, their genetics, their land, and their religion. Also Turkey has recently taken an anti-israeli stance which won't get them good reception is Europe either. And in response to the Greek-American thing.. It all depends. If your great-great-great grandparents are from greece then probably you are more american (although your blood is Greek). If your grandparents or parents are from greece then you are more greek. It also depends if you can speak the language, and know the traditions. If you have a citizenship you are almost guaranteed to be considered Greek. Another thing is where your allegiance is. If you are more loyal to Greece than you are a greek. If you are more loyal to america then you are a greek-american (or plain american)

On CNBC -World Wide Exchange Marina Xana a Greek Financial expert said IF Greece leaves the Euro and goes back on the drachma it will be total chaos in Greece. Greeks will NOT be able to import FOOD MEDICINE or OIL With no international credit or any backing. So how how are they going buy weapons to fight the Turks. They also said IF Greece leaves the Euro it will hurt Cyprus. Imagine Greece OUT of the Euro and Turkey becoming a full fledged member ! WHAT A NIGHTMARE ! All of the Greeks that don't consider Greek- Americans Greek ,{ people like me whose Grand parents immigrated from Greece and are 100 % and Greek Orthodox } WOULD JUMP AT THE CHANCE TO LEAVE GREECE NOW IN A HEART BEAT TO BECOME AMERICAN CITIZENS. I bet at least 50% of the Greek population especially Greeks 40 yrs old and under would leave Greece to become American Citizens. Greece is screwed for at least 10 more years and probably for decades to come. It's so sad to watch on TV.

Serbia (Big arms producer), Ukraine (one of the biggest armies in Europe), Belarus, Armenia, and Romania. All these countries have the same religion and they all would be willing in my opinion to have some sort of mutual defense agreement.

Thanasis Zoumboulias said:In response to your last sentence, if no one in the west will help Greece maybe they should look to the east. Perhaps Russia who we have the same religion as or Serbia a friend that will have our backs against the Turks. I'm sick of us having to depend on the west especially when Greeks do not have alot of common aspects with these people (except of course the EU). Also the idea about the Parthenon marbles is a good idea but the most likely reason Greece did not do this plan is because we are not in any position to bargain, considering the current troubles. When people do not have bread to eat other issues seem very unimportant.
I NEVER EVER want to see the Turks in the EU . There are people that want them in the EU. Plain and simple : THE TOURKOS ARE ZOA !.

Permalink Reply by Thanasis Zoumboulias on May 26, 2012 at 1:17pm Who wants them in the EU? Germany doesn't, Greece doesn't, France Definitely doesn't. Thats already 3 people- and only 1 vote is needed to deny them access.

My sister Caroline makes a mean pork tenderloin, or should I say tenderloins. She's made it in so many ways and with various sauces such as apple, raspberry, mustard cream - you name it, she’s probably tried it. Today she made it in one of my favorite ways - Greek style, which is also one of the easier ways to…
