Nestorio is located in Macedonia in Northern Greece. It is a small village that is near the larger village of Kastoria. Aside from being in a gorgeous and picturesque area, the village is most known for the River Party festival that began in 1978. Since that first year, it has been devoted to creating a line up of musicians that lasts for several days. Many of the bands come from Athens and Thessaloniki as well as other places throughout the world. The main form of music that the festival highlights is rock, but they do also book D.J.’s as part of the lineup. Sports such as archery, hiking, and extreme rafting are also an integral part of the River Party Festival.
