IΑΝΟΥΑΡΙΟΣ:



Ο πρώτος μήνας του χρόνου πήρε το όνομά του από τον… θεό των Ρωμαίων τον Ιανό (Janus).



Ο Ιανός ήταν θεός με δύο πρόσωπα, τα οποία κοίταζαν σε αντίθετες κατευθύνσεις, γι αυτό τον αποκαλούσαν και Janus bifrons δηλαδή διπρόσωπο Ιανό.
