One of my favorite Greek stars is, obviously, Nia Vardalos. She has done more to put Greeks in the pop culture spotlight in recent times than anyone else we can think of, and she's very talented to boot!
I met her years ago when she had one of her very first screenings for her film My Big Fat Greek Wedding which I promoted through my website GreekBoston.com (now known as WorldWideGreeks). She and John Corbett came to Boston to attend the screening and to give our audience a great Q&A after the movie ended (see below). The next day she granted me a great interview with herself and John Corbett (see further below) and I had an amazing time throughout the whole experience.
I was going through some of my archives and I found the video of Nia and John's Q&A so I wanted to share it with everyone since it has NEVER been seen before. Sorry for the poor quality but it was all we had with us at the time:
The day after the above video was shot, we had a real sit down interview with the two stars, which you can watch below:
Aside from how awesome she was in granting us the screening and interviews, one of the very coolest things I discovered in doing some of my research, and something that makes me love her even more, is that she had a small role in one of my favorite TV shows of all time - Boy Meets World! I managed to get the scenes she was in and make a video for everyone to enjoy!
Check out Nia on Boy Meets World:
So that's my personal history with Nia. And what is she up to at this very moment, you ask? Well, she has a guest appearance on Law & Order SVU coming out soon. Check out the trailer for the upcoming episode below:

And she also has a new book coming out called Instant Mom which you should definitely check out!

My sister Caroline makes a mean pork tenderloin, or should I say tenderloins. She's made it in so many ways and with various sauces such as apple, raspberry, mustard cream - you name it, she’s probably tried it. Today she made it in one of my favorite ways - Greek style, which is also one of the easier ways to…
