I agree, the Athens Riviera is a great place. I try to go every time I am in the Athens area!

I've had some tricky experiences in taxis in Greece until I found a driver I can rely on. I call him whenever I am in Greece and I trust that his rates are fair and he won't overcharge.

I haven't noticed a difference and I have had great seafood all over Greece. As long as it's fresh, I am happy!

Thanks for sharing this. It's easy to think that the Parthenon is the only thing worth visiting at the Acropolis, but there's actually a lot more there that shouldn't be ignored.

I agree, each time I go I get something different out of it. Also, there's too much to see in one day if you really want to do it justice. I could spend two days in the museum alone!

For me, my answer will depend on if it's your first time there or not. At least once, one has to see the Acropolis (Parthenon, etc). However, if you've already seen it there is no point to do it again unless you really love it. There's so much more to see in the city.

Greece has been involved in many wars, and it is a big part of the country's history. This museum is an interesting place to learn about this history!

It really does get too hot, especially in July and August. Parthenon should be visited early in the day. There are some nice restaurants in the Plaka. Many of those have shade - if you can get out of the sun you can enjoy those restaurants no matter what time of day it is.

Yes to all of these. I love the National Archaeological Museum - it is one of my favorite places because there are a ton of artifacts here.
