As much as I love Paros I completely disagree with this statement. Santorini has a geological history that none of the other islands have. If you are interested in that kind of things you can not say Paros and Santorini are the same.

Go to the lesser known islands like Andros, Tinos ( easy to reach from Athens ) or the smaller ones Amorgos, Folengandros, Sikinos ( travel time and costs are higher) and off season is always cheaper.

Don’t regret going to any island. Won’ t go to Iraklia again. Too small, but the people were friendly, the beach was good so no regret.

Stayed in Mykonos to go to Delos. That is a good reason 😉

The high speed ferries tend to be less reliable when it's windy ( they will have more delays) but the boats are all more or less the same. Which ferry you take depends on where and when you want to go. This year we went with Bluestar from Santorini to Paros (no delay), from Paros to Ios with...

I don't know which transit you mean. Check-in is regular if you have filled in all the right documents and had your tests or vaccinations. When you haven't you will be requested to do so first and come back later. Customs was also regular. No waiting time when we went ( in the evening)

Andros, Tinos and Kefalonia tend to be the most windy islands. On every island you will always have some wind. Sometimes it's more and sometimes less windy. Yesterday (Friday) on Ios there was really no wind at all. On Monday it was very windy. So it changes.

Price of sunbeds varies. Some it is just have a drink of the beach bar and beds are for free. We paid 3 euro per bed, 7 for a set or 10 for a set. Most expensive ones we have seen were on Ios, 50 euro for a hanging sunbed in a cool club.

There are enough busses to get around and there are also taxi's available. And you can rent a car or a bike to get around or book an island tour or a boat trip.

On Paros I hear it is almost normal with tourists this month. They expect a decline for September.

Been to the museum of prehistoric Thira yesterday in Fira. They have made an extra floor with the wallpaintings of Akrotiri. I liked it a lot!

Here in Santorini I read in church that during the tourist season there will be no church services

We like almost all restaurants so I am not a good judge. Try a restaurant in Pyrgos or Emporio. Those villages are less touristy.

When you are interested in archeology, go visit Akrotiri. I like it a lot, but if you are not into archeological sites you will just see piles of stones. When you are travelling with children the Atlantis experience is a nice one to visit. Visit the maritime museum in Oia only if you are...

We do go island hopping. We did 3 islands last year and it felt really safe. I hope it will be the same this year. It is all really up to yourself. Keep your distance or wear a mask ( the right way) and keep clean and get vaccinated. If you don't feel safe in a place, just go somewhere else.

It really depends on where you are going. If it is the touristic places, you can often pay by card, but when you go of the beaten track, bring money. We usely bring around 500 euro ( small coupures! 50 max.) to start and then use an ATM to get more when needed. If you are low on money and you...
