This discovery is so interesting! Especially considering so many people struggle with depression today. The medicine discovered was made from plants and was found in an actual ancient laboratory

This is very interesting! It goes to show you that humanity struggled with these issues for thousands of years.

Thank you for sharing this piece of interesting information, tomipark. In my opinion, these antidepressants were healthier compared with modern ones. Today many antidepressants contain more drugs that can cause addiction, and they are more dangerous compared with those antidepressants that were used by greeks a long time ago. Even though some of my friends got addicted to antidepressants during their bad life periods, approaching a professional interventionist service and making the intervention on time prevented the deterioration of the situation.

Best place to learn Ancient Greek history?

I have been helping a family member in school learn about Greek history but I must admit, I don't know as much as I thought. So, I have been reading wikipedia entries about it.

I have no idea if the wikipedia entries are accurate. I mean, how am I really to know? I have been trying to bring the stories to life for this person (my nephew) but it occurred to me this morning as I was researching that I am not 100% sure if the entries are even accurate!

Events leading up to the Greek War for Independence?

The Greek War for Independence is celebrated March 25th and that is just around the corner. It got me thinking about the events that led up to the war, because we are about in that time period to think about it.

When I study this, what topics or events do you recommend I look up?

What is considered Modern Greece?

So, I always assumed that Modern Greece referred to the time period starting with the War for Independence.

Then, Ancient Greece, I always assumed, ended in BC times.

What about all those periods in between? Is this too simplistic of a way to look at it? How do people classify all the phases of Greek history?
