I'm planning a trip to Mykonos soon and I'm on the lookout for some fantastic beach clubs to visit. I've heard that Mykonos is famous for its vibrant beach scene, and I want to make sure I experience the best it has to offer.

Can anyone recommend some great beach clubs in Mykonos? I'm particularly interested in places with:
  • Beautiful views: A club that's right on the beach with stunning ocean views.
  • Good vibes: Somewhere with a fun and lively atmosphere.
  • Quality food and drinks: A place that serves delicious food and refreshing cocktails.
  • Great music: Preferably with live DJs or good playlists to set the mood.
I'd love to hear your personal favorites and any tips you might have for making the most of the beach club experience in Mykonos. Thanks in advance!

During my recent trip to Greece with colleagues, I had the opportunity to visit five notable beach clubs, each offering a distinct experience. Here are my observations on these establishments:

1. Scorpios
Situated on Paraga Beach, Scorpios is celebrated for its bohemian-chic atmosphere and breathtaking sunset panoramas. It seamlessly integrates a beach club, restaurant, and music venue, fostering a comprehensive experience centred around relaxation and holistic well-being.

2. Nammos
Nestled on Psarou Beach, Nammos is a magnet for celebrities and discerning patrons. Renowned for its opulent setting, fine dining, and lively social scene, the club also features a boutique shopping area.

3. Principate
Located on Panormos Beach, Principote harmoniously combines luxury and natural elements through its sophisticated design and tranquil setting. It caters to those seeking refined relaxation, with an array of exceptional culinary offerings and regular DJ performances.

4. Cavo Paradiso
Perched atop a cliff overlooking Paradise Beach, Cavo Paradiso is one of the island's premier nocturnal destinations. It is recognized for hosting globally acclaimed DJs and unforgettable late-night revelries.

5. SantAnna
Positioned on Paraga Beach, SantAnna offers a distinctive fusion of leisure and amusement. It boasts a large seawater pool, private cabanas, and diverse dining options. It caters to serene afternoons and vibrant evenings.

This is a fantastic list, thank you for taking the time to leave such a detailed reply. I am going to save this for the next time I go to Mykonos, as well!

Mykonos Okay to Visit in March?

A friend recently asked me whether Mykonos is a good place to visit in March, and I realized I don’t have a great answer, even though I’ve been there before. My experience with Mykonos has only been in the height of summer, when everything is open, busy, and very much in full swing.

I’m curious how the island feels in early spring. I assume it’s much quieter, but does that make it enjoyable or does it feel too closed down? Are restaurants, cafés, and shops still operating, even at a reduced level? Is it more of a peaceful, local experience, or does it feel like a place waiting for the season to start?

My friend isn’t necessarily looking for nightlife, but does want good food, nice walks, and a sense of atmosphere. I’d love to hear from anyone who has visited Mykonos in March—or lives there year-round—about what to realistically expect that time of year.

Which month has the worse wind in Mykonos in the summer?

I might go to Mykonos next year, and the only thing giving me pause is the wind. I know the island is famous for the meltemi, but I keep reading completely different opinions about when it’s at its strongest. Some people say July is brutal, others say August is worse, and a few claim June can surprise you too.

For those of you who’ve been to Mykonos multiple times — or who go every summer — which month have you personally experienced as the windiest? I don’t mind a breeze, but I do want a trip where I can actually enjoy the beaches without getting sandblasted every five minutes.

Is there a month where the meltemi is consistently the strongest, or is it totally unpredictable year to year? Would love to hear your experiences and what you’d recommend!

Any good hikes in Mykonos?

I love the beach, but I might need a break one of the days I plan to be in Mykonos. My travel plans are still not solidified so I am not 100% sure I am even going this year, but I wanted to gather information anyway.

I’ve heard there might be some scenic trails or quieter spots that most tourists miss. Does anyone know of good hikes with great views, especially around sunrise or sunset, that aren’t super crowded? Ideally, something 1–3 hours long, moderate difficulty, and with interesting landscapes (like hidden coves, old windmills, or Mediterranean scrub). Bonus if there’s a nice taverna or beach at the end where I can grab a drink or snack.

If I go, I’ll have a rental car or scooter, so getting to trailheads shouldn’t be a problem. You can recommend them off the beaten track for sure - that's actually what I am looking for...

What's the Beach in Mykonos?

I visited Mykonos a few years ago and had the most amazing time—but now I’m trying to plan a return trip, and I can’t for the life of me remember the name of one particular beach I loved.

It had a relaxed vibe, not too crazy with the party scene, and there was a taverna right on the beach that served grilled fish and wine. I remember the sand was soft, the water was crystal clear, and it wasn’t packed like Paradise or Super Paradise. I think there might’ve been sunbeds, but it still felt low-key and not too commercial.

Does this ring a bell for anyone? Maybe Ornos? Agios Ioannis? Or could it have been Agios Sostis? I wish I had taken better notes, ha!

If you’ve been to Mykonos recently and have suggestions for chill beaches with great food nearby, I’d love to hear your favorites too. Thanks in advance!

Renting a Scooter or ATV in Mykonos?

I’m considering a trip to Mykonos next summer and I’ve been doing some research on how people usually get around the island. I keep coming across advice about renting scooters or ATVs, and I’m a little torn. On one hand, it sounds like such a fun way to explore the beaches and villages, and it seems more flexible than relying on buses or expensive taxis. On the other hand, I’ve also read that the roads can be steep, narrow, and a little dangerous, especially if you’re not used to driving scooters.

I’ve only driven a scooter once while traveling, and it was fine, but I’m not sure how I’d feel in Mykonos traffic. ATVs seem like they might feel sturdier, but maybe they’re harder to park?

For those of you who’ve been to Mykonos: did you rent a scooter, ATV, or something else? What would you recommend for a first-timer?
