I walked around Plaka today for a few hours (my favorite neighborhood in the city) and stumbled upon the beautiful and small Museum of Folk Music, afterwards we stopped at a Yiasemi cafe the was scattered over these steep marble stairs. The vibe was excellent and the coffee was just as great, I highly recommend it. https://www.yiasemi.gr

The Plaka area in Athens is truly magical any time of year! Next time I am in Athens I will check that cafe out as well.

Here are some suggestions of things to do while visiting the Plaka area of Athens:

Workout classes in Athens!

My cousin recommended these for me for anyone who is interested....I am not one to workout on vacation though LOL

Did you know about the Hellenic Childrens Museum in Athens?

The Hellenic Children's Museum is the only multi-thematic, interactive museum specially designed for children in Greece. The Children’s Museum is oriented to children up to 12 years of age, parents, educators and anyone else interested in learning. The Hellenic Children’s Museum “aims to encourage every child to discover, comprehend, learn, be happy and shape their self and the world which surrounds them with respect for individuality and emphasis on cooperation”. :) Its great for visiting with kids

This is where you can buy tickets to the Acropolis online

What are the best public pools or hotel pools in Athens?

I love the beach, but when I'm in the city I like to cool off at a nice rooftop pool. Any tips for good pools that are open to the public? I don't usually stay in hotels fancy enough for a pool LOL
