Best beach clubs to visit in Mykonos?

I might be headed to Mykonos soon and I keep hearing that the beach clubs there are some of the best in the world. I’ve seen names like Scorpios, Nammos, and Paradise Beach Club pop up, but I’m not sure which ones are actually worth it versus just “tourist hype.”

I’m looking for a mix of good music, fun atmosphere, and ideally some great food and drinks, too. I don’t mind if it’s lively and a bit of a party scene, but I’d also love a place where you can relax by the water without it being overwhelming.

For those of you who’ve been, which beach clubs stood out to you? Are there any hidden gems beyond the famous names? Also curious if it’s better to reserve in advance or if you can just show up and find a spot. Thanks for any tips!
 
Mykonos definitely has some of the world’s most talked-about beach clubs, but each one has its own personality. Scorpios on Paraga Beach is more than just hype — it’s known for its bohemian, artsy vibe, amazing sunset rituals, and a focus on atmosphere as much as music.

Nammos at Psarou is the glamorous option: fine dining, Champagne, designer cabanas, and lots of celebrity energy. If you’re in the mood for a full-on party, Paradise Beach Club and Cavo Paradiso are classics, with big-name DJs and an all-night dance scene.

If you want something quieter and more low-key, places like Alemagou on Ftelia or Liasti on Lia Beach give you that boho-chic Mykonos feel without the overwhelming crowds. As for reservations, if you want a prime spot at Scorpios or Nammos, book ahead. For the more relaxed clubs, you can usually just show up and settle in.

Snorkeling in Mykonos Tips?

I’m thinking about visiting Mykonos next summer, likely in mid-July, and while I know the island is famous for its nightlife, that’s not really my scene. I’m more interested in outdoor activities, and snorkeling is high on my list.

Has anyone here gone snorkeling in Mykonos? Are there particular beaches or coves that are especially good for clear water and interesting marine life? I’ve read that some of the quieter beaches might have better conditions than the busy party spots, but I’m not sure which ones are worth prioritizing.

Do most people rent gear on the island, or is it better to bring your own mask and fins? Also, are there guided snorkeling tours that combine boat trips to less accessible areas?

Finding authentic food in Mykonos?

I’ll be heading to Mykonos soon and I’m really excited to explore the island—but I’m also hoping to eat some trulyauthentic Greek food while I’m there. I’ve noticed that in many of the more touristy areas, the menus tend to feel a bit “idealized”—like a curated version of Greek cuisine made for visitors. Don’t get me wrong, it still tastes great, but I’d love to experience the more local side of Mykonos food culture.

Are there any tavernas or small eateries that locals love? Maybe somewhere off the main tourist paths or in smaller villages? I’d especially love to try dishes that are traditional to Mykonos or the Cyclades region in general.

Great Spots in Mykonos to Watch the Sunset?

Everyone talks about Santorini sunsets, but honestly, I’ve seen some breathtaking ones in Mykonos too, and I’m hoping to find even more on my next trip. I’ve watched from Little Venice with a cocktail in hand, but it gets so crowded that it’s hard to really enjoy the moment.

I’m wondering where locals or returning visitors go to catch a beautiful sunset without the chaos, maybe somewhere quieter, with a good view of the sea and windmills, or even a beach spot that glows in the evening light.

Are there tavernas or bars that have a relaxed sunset vibe without being overly touristy? Or secret viewpoints outside of town that are worth the drive? I’ve heard about spots in Agios Ioannis and 180° Sunset Bar, but I’d love to hear your favorites, whether it’s romantic, peaceful, or just the perfect place to end the day.

Any good hikes in Mykonos?

I love the beach, but I might need a break one of the days I plan to be in Mykonos. My travel plans are still not solidified so I am not 100% sure I am even going this year, but I wanted to gather information anyway.

I’ve heard there might be some scenic trails or quieter spots that most tourists miss. Does anyone know of good hikes with great views, especially around sunrise or sunset, that aren’t super crowded? Ideally, something 1–3 hours long, moderate difficulty, and with interesting landscapes (like hidden coves, old windmills, or Mediterranean scrub). Bonus if there’s a nice taverna or beach at the end where I can grab a drink or snack.

If I go, I’ll have a rental car or scooter, so getting to trailheads shouldn’t be a problem. You can recommend them off the beaten track for sure - that's actually what I am looking for...

Family-Friendly Foods to Try in Mykonos?

We’re considering adding Mykonos to our upcoming Greece trip and I’m curious about the food scene — especially when it comes to local dishes that are family-friendly. I know Mykonos has a reputation for high-end dining and nightlife, but we’ll be traveling with kids, so we’re hoping to experience some of the island’s traditional flavors in a more low-key, welcoming way.

Are there specific Mykonian or Cycladic dishes we should look for that tend to go over well with children? Maybe a favorite cheese, pie, or dessert that’s a local specialty but still kid-approved?
