I’m hosting a summer barbecue and want to include some Greek meze as part of the spread—something flavorful, fresh, and easy to serve alongside grilled meats. I’m thinking things that can sit out for a bit without wilting or needing to be super cold, but still give that authentic Greek flavor.
I’ll have the usual grilled souvlaki and maybe some lamb chops, but I’d love to add a few traditional starters that work well in a casual outdoor setting. I was considering things like tzatziki, olives, and pita, but I’d love to branch out and try some new ideas too.
Any suggestions for Greek meze that work well for outdoor dining? Bonus points for anything I can prep ahead of time or that pairs especially well with ouzo, wine, or beer. Thank you!
