The use of steam in engineering is an ancient Greek invention!! According to Britannica, the aeolipil also known as the steam turbine was an Ancient Greek invention created by Heron of Alexandria. This technology is still used to this day in steam engines, which were a major part of the industrial revolution. In its first form, this was a very simple machine that turned one single small motor with steam and was used as a toy and not for any real purpose. Who knew that it would be one of the worlds greatest inventions!
