Everyone always seems to gravitate towards the bigger and more famous islands for their Greece trips like Santorini, Crete and Mykonos. I urge all of you to do your research and look beyond these islands! You won't even feel like youre missing out because every Greek island has so much to offer! Smaller islands may even have a better experience because they aren't as busy and are usually more authentic. That being said, what are your favorite smaller Greek Islands?? My favorite is Hydra :)

I’ve not tried the smaller islands, but will have a look for later this year. Annual leave is so tight I just want to easily get to the sun, park myself and relax. Hopefully if I can retire in the next few years, get a place on the islands and there’ll be time to travel further and get the most out of being there 🙏

I totally agree with this. There's so much to see in Greece! It's truly a magical place. I looove Crete and can't seem to get enough of it, but I would like to see other places, like Hydra.

Traveling from Santorini to Mykonos

I plan to go to Santorini this summer, but even tough I love it there, I suspect I will only want to spend a short time - just a few nights. I have some friends that actually live on Mykonos that I want to visit, so I am wondering the best way to go from Santorini to Mykonos? From what I understand, the ferry is pretty easy - is this true? I have only gone to Mykonos from the Athens airport and have never used the ferry to get on the island.

Which Ancient Greek Plays Should I See Live?

I want to catch a live theater performance while in Greece this summer. There are some choices! Which Ancient Greek plays are worth seeing in general? Has anyone seen any? I know the Epidaurus theater has some performances. There's one from Aristophanes Called The Wasps that I might go to. I have never heard of it, has anyone seen it?

Visiting Church of Saint Demetrios in Santorini

One of my favorite places to visit in Thessaloniki is the Church of Saint Demetrios. I heard he is the patron saint of the city?

When I went, I only just walked through and enjoyed the look and feel. I don't know much about it.

Would love to hear your opinions of this place, I will be passing through Thessaloniki in a few months and am hoping to catch a church Service. Last time I went, I just visited, there was no service going on.
