I’m looking for advice on gluten-free Greek cooking since a family member was just diagnosed with Celiac. We’re Greek, so I want to make sure we can still enjoy the flavors of our cuisine without compromising anyone’s health. Many of our traditional dishes rely on wheat-based ingredients like phyllo, pita, and breadcrumbs, so I’m curious about any tried-and-true substitutions that work well for these.
Are there specific gluten-free flour brands or recipes for things like spanakopita or moussaka that you’d recommend? Also, any tips on avoiding hidden gluten in common Greek ingredients or sauces would be really helpful. I'd love to hear about any gluten-free Greek dishes that have worked well for you or other creative ideas for adapting recipes!
