I have to help someone plan a honeymoon in Rhodes. It can be a romantic place, especially if you love history.

I need some help, though, figuring some things out since I have only ever been here with my family. Where would you stay? What would you eat? What would you do?

Any advice you have would be great - I can think of plenty of things to see and do, and places to eat, but I've never thought about them from a romantic perspective.

I agree to find a wedding planner. There are just so many unique ins and outs related to the island it's better getting an expert that can help you navigate it.

Hidden Gems in Lindos?

I’m planning a trip to Rhodes and will be spending a few days in Lindos. I’ve already got the main attractions on my list, like the Acropolis and the beautiful St. Paul’s Bay, but I’d love to discover some hidden gems that might not be on the typical tourist radar.

Are there any lesser-known spots or unique experiences in Lindos that you’d recommend? I’m particularly interested in charming local cafes, quiet beaches, secret viewpoints, or any special places where I can soak up the authentic atmosphere of the village. I’d also love tips on any hidden alleyways with beautiful architecture or local shops that sell unique souvenirs.

Additionally, if there are any specific local dishes or lesser-known tavernas that serve amazing food, I’m all ears! I’m excited to explore and appreciate any advice to make my Lindos visit extra special.

Ways to enjoy nature in Rhodes?

Hi everyone! I’m planning a trip to Rhodes soon and while I’m excited for the beaches and historical sites, I’d also love to connect with the natural side of the island. I know Rhodes is more than just medieval walls and crystal-clear water—so I’m wondering:

What are your favorite ways to enjoy nature in Rhodes?

Are there any scenic hikes, quiet walking trails, or nature reserves you’d recommend? I’ve heard of places like the Valley of the Butterflies and Seven Springs, but I’m open to hidden gems too—lush areas, mountain drives, peaceful beaches off the beaten path, or even botanical gardens or scenic outlooks.

I’m not necessarily looking for adrenaline adventures—just ways to unwind and take in the island’s natural beauty.

Traditional Dishes to Try While on Rhodes?

I’ll be visiting Rhodes this summer, and I can’t wait to explore the island’s food scene! I know Greek cuisine is amazing, but I’d love to try local dishes that are unique to Rhodes.

Are there any must-try specialties that I shouldn’t miss? I’ve heard about pitaroudia (chickpea fritters) and lakani (a slow-cooked meat dish), but I’d love more recommendations—whether it’s seafood, traditional meze, or local desserts.

Also, if you have any restaurant or taverna recommendations, I’d really appreciate it! I want to experience authentic, home-style cooking rather than just touristy spots. Bonus points if it’s by the sea with a great view!

Looking forward to your tips and suggestions—thanks in advance!

Tips for Visiting the Rhodes Jewish Quarter

Hi everyone, I’m planning a trip to Rhodes and really want to explore the Jewish Quarter in the Old Town. I’ve heard it’s small but full of history, and I’d love to make the most of the visit.

If you’ve been, do you have any tips? Are there guided tours available, or is it better to explore on your own? I’m particularly interested in visiting the Kahal Shalom Synagogue and the Jewish Museum — how much time should I set aside for those?

Also, any interesting stories or historical context that really added depth to your visit? I’m trying to balance learning about the history with just soaking in the atmosphere.

Bonus points if you have any nearby spots for a coffee or bite to eat afterward!

Would appreciate any insights or suggestions — especially from anyone who’s visited recently. Thanks so much!
