Mykonos is a pretty small island, and has beautiful winding roads that lead to small villages and stunning beaches. Personally, renting a car is very expensive and not worth the money. I really don't recommend it for Mykonos. Thus, renting an ATV is a great option and allows you to see much of the island at a pretty cheap price. Make sure that you have your drivers lisence or international drivers license though! This website gives you all of the advice that you need....

I have never done it, but the people on those ATVs throughout Greece, but on Mykonos especially, look like they're having the best time!

I haven't read anywhere as accurate and superbly presented article of Mykonos as this one!......I love the bit which reads "It was, however during these times a rather poor island with limited agricultural resources "😂😂.... only now it is the most priciest rock in the world!..... costing upwards€25,000 per sq metre.....and as far as I know from a few years back....the requirements to build a house was 4000 sq metres!.....and business development over 10,000 Sq metres..... Enjoy reading this...
I used a lot of information on my Guided Island Tours of Mykonos...so the history and facts are accurate!A pleasure to post this for readers to enjoy having lived and worked in Tourism Industry for many years!❤️❤️Saga poh Mykonou mu!❤️

Sightseeing Priorities in Mykonos

I will be in Mykonos for about 6-7 days but some of that will be taken up with a wedding and the related festivities.

I estimate I might have 4 full days to sightsee that don't involve the wedding. This isn't a lot of time. I will get at least one beach day, and I would like to get to know the island - its history, culture, etc.

Do you have any suggestions on how to prioritize?

Mykonos before the sunbeds.

When I arrived in Mykonou for the first time in 92 I think!.... there was no such thing as beach chairs!😂😂.. only a few old style deck chairs, all free......my friend Spiro rented a part of Kalo Livadi beach and we ended up providing free chairs and umbrellas and having beach parties every day with the beach bar more busier than the taverna😂😂...a total transformation from 94!!....and what we witness today!

Mykonos: Nammos Suspended!

Events unfolding rapidly in crackdowns after many years of irregular activities.I don't agree with the Police patrolling the narrow streets of Mykonos for noise levels from the bars in the video which I saw yesterday, felt quite saddened when at this time of the year it is so very nice to browse around Matoyianni with all the lovely shops and boutiques instead of 6-8 police walking up and down these beautiful narrow streets!... They begin to take away sound systems from the bars!
