Is October a Good Time to Visit Rhodes?

I’m considering a trip to Rhodes this October because I found a really good deal on flights, and now I’m trying to decide if I should go for it!

I’ve been looking into the weather, but I’d love to hear from people who have actually visited Rhodes in October. Is it still warm enough to spend time at the beach and swim, or does the weather start becoming unpredictable by then? I don’t necessarily need extremely hot weather, but I would like some sunshine and nice days for exploring.

I’m also wondering what Rhodes is like that time of year in terms of restaurants, shops, attractions, and crowds. Are most things still open, especially in Rhodes Town and Lindos?

Would you recommend visiting Rhodes in October, or is it better to save the trip for earlier in the season?

I think Rhodes can be a really nice choice in October, especially if you’re more interested in comfortable weather and exploring than having guaranteed hot beach days. I’ve heard from people who have gone that the beginning of October can still feel quite summery, with warm, sunny days and sea temperatures that are often comfortable enough for swimming. As the month goes on, though, there is a greater chance of cooler days, wind, and occasional rain.

Rhodes Town should still have plenty going on, since it isn’t purely a seasonal resort area. Lindos will likely be quieter than during the summer, but many restaurants and shops should still be open, particularly earlier in October.

Personally, if I found a really good flight deal, I’d probably go for it. You might not get perfect beach weather every day, but the tradeoff is fewer crowds and much more pleasant temperatures for sightseeing.

I have lived in rhodes for over 17 years. . in my experience the weather changes about the 15 of the month. Then we get heavy rain sometimes leading to flooding.
