If you’ve ever wanted to learn Greek to communicate with family members or to use on your next holiday in Greece, Mango is the app you need to download! I started using it a few months back, and I really feel like it has helped me learn Greek so quickly. The app has so many great features and allows you to record your own voice so you can hear how well you are pronouncing the words so that you can work on your accent. I highly recommend it!

Are you wondering how Greeces economy is doing?

I have been asking this question for quite some time, how is Greece's economy doing after the pandemic? And now that there is probably going to be another lockdown? Because Greece is a country that heavily relies on tourism, they really struggled during the summers and many small businesses closed. Although, things don't seem to be as bad as many of us think. There are many articles like this one that are showing some signs of hope.

Travel requirements for Greece and Cyprus updated!

To enter Cyprus and Greece, you are required to have a negative PCR test. Both countries are also requiring that you fill out specific forms when you enter. You should also bring a proof of vaccination that is preferably translated into English or Greek. Some people usually carry these on their phones, but I also think it's best to have a copy printed on paper just in case your phone dies, also some border officers are a little more old-school and might prefer a paper copy.

I cant get enough of Greece during the Christmas time!

Many areas of Greece are lit up during Christmas time, especially Athens! One of my favorite parts of Greece is the Christmas cheer and spirit during these times. Its so special because the Untied States is so commercialized during the Christmas time that so much of the meaning is lost, especially the spiritual aspects. The same goes for any religious holiday.

Greece just introduced an outdoor mask mandate!

As a result of the increase in cases of omicron, the Greek government just introduced an outdoor mask mandate meaning that everyone must wear a mask both indoors and outdoors regardless of where they are. This will change things up, but it will protect the public as more and more people are getting sick. It's not the biggest deal ever though because it is wintertime and it will be much easier to wear a mask versus the hot sweaty summer. Stay safe everyone!
