I am trying to plan my latest trip to Greece. To be honest, I don't like to plan too heavily, but I do like to know where I am staying and have a general idea of things to do. Whether or not I do them once I arrive is another story, but at least I have options.

There are a lot of beaches near Rhodes Town. Do you guys have a favorite? Some options I found:

  • Elli Beach
  • Kato Petres Beach
  • Sachtouri Beach
I am just basing this list on what I found on the Internet. I have no attachment. I love beaches that have services close or as part of the beach. Like a toilet, maybe a restaurant or cafe.

Do you know where you are staying this time?

I have never been to any of these beaches. Whenever I am on Rhodes I geek out over the history! I love the island though, it has a lushness that other Greek islands don't seem to have.

Visiting the Lindos Acropolis

In my research about the island of Rhodes, I have spent a lot of time learning about the Knights of Saint John and their influence on the island. Then I realized that there's an ancient history here, too.

Has anyone visited the Lindos Acropolis? Do you think I should take a tour or can I learn about it on my own?

I plan to visit next September - do I need to book things in advance? From what I understand the island gets pretty hot, so I was hoping some of the heat would mitigated in September.

Traveling to Rhodes for the First Time?

I am researching potential places to visit in Greece. Rhodes is on the list because someone told me it was a great place to go to imagine the times when the Greek mythological stories were a prevalent part of the culture (Mandraki Harbor). I was thinking of spending a bit of time there. Do you have any recommendations on what else I should do while there? Some possibilities:
  • Explore the ruins from the Knights of Saint John
  • Acropolis at Lindos
  • Beaches - Faliriki, Lindos Beach, etc (did I miss any beaches - these are the ones that most intrigued me)
What else should I see? Thanks!

New to the forum looking to start a business. Maybe travel

Hope everyone is doing well through the lockdown in the uk, I’ve joined this forum recently due to wanting to get into detailing and valeting for a while now, in November I got my first bit of kit and I’ve been doing my car and dads car quite a bit.
I’ve been thinking over the idea of starting my own mobile valeting business, hopefully leading to a detailing business down the line. Obviously it’s a bit of a weird time in the country right now so I’m not rushing into anything, I’m just here to ask if anyone here has their own business at the minute? How are you finding it, and how did you start your business from scratch? What techniques did you use and how did you advertise and set up?
Any help would be appreciated, many thanks I look forward to seeing your replies
Stay safe everyone

Greek island of Rhodes seeking to attract tourists during winter also!!

It might surprise the reader that in my first job in good ol'London town after leaving school in a package Holiday company Rhodes was a thriving winter destination together with Crete and Corfu and Epirotiki Lines were cruising around the Greek islands in the 70s....It always had been an alternative to cold weather conditions in winter months....the same as Spanish Islands..... Kalley Mera from Thailand and Monsoons raining heavily here!
