I am trying to plan my latest trip to Greece. To be honest, I don't like to plan too heavily, but I do like to know where I am staying and have a general idea of things to do. Whether or not I do them once I arrive is another story, but at least I have options.

There are a lot of beaches near Rhodes Town. Do you guys have a favorite? Some options I found:

  • Elli Beach
  • Kato Petres Beach
  • Sachtouri Beach
I am just basing this list on what I found on the Internet. I have no attachment. I love beaches that have services close or as part of the beach. Like a toilet, maybe a restaurant or cafe.

Do you know where you are staying this time?

I have never been to any of these beaches. Whenever I am on Rhodes I geek out over the history! I love the island though, it has a lushness that other Greek islands don't seem to have.

Not sure if you already visited Rhodes but Santa Marina is a very good beack next to the town

You will have to use the beach bar to gain access to this beach.

That beach like the rest in rhodes town tends to be windy most days. That combined with the hot sun could get you looking like a cooked lobster. ie very red

Advice for hiking in Rhodes

I'm planning a trip to Rhodes and am really excited about exploring the island on foot. I’m looking for advice on the best hiking trails.

Can anyone recommend must-see routes that showcase the island's natural beauty and historical sites? I'm particularly interested in trails with stunning views, as well as any that might lead to hidden gems or lesser-known spots. Also, are there any safety tips or specific gear I should bring along? Lastly, I'd love to hear about any guided hiking tours that are worth joining.

Any personal experiences or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

Best Photography Locations in Rhodes

Hey everyone! Well, it looks like next year’s trip to Greece will include Rhodes, and as a photography enthusiast, I’m already planning out some top spots to capture the island’s beauty. I’ve heard amazing things about Lindos Acropolis with its panoramic views over the sea, and the Medieval City of Rhodes sounds like a dream for capturing historic charm with those winding stone streets and ancient architecture.

But I know there must be even more incredible places to shoot! I’d love your recommendations for other must-see spots that showcase Rhodes’ natural beauty, unique landscapes, or maybe even some hidden gems that most tourists miss. Any tips on best times of day or viewpoints would be amazing, too. Thanks in advance for helping me build an epic photography itinerary for Rhodes!

Eating Like a Local in Rhodes?

When I go to Rhodes next I'd like to really dive into the local food scene. I always prefer eating where the locals do rather than sticking to touristy spots. I've heard that Rhodes has some amazing traditional tavernas and hidden gems when it comes to food, but I'm not sure where to start.

Does anyone have recommendations for authentic places to eat in Rhodes? I’m particularly interested in trying local specialties like moussaka, fresh seafood, and maybe some lesser-known dishes that I wouldn’t find in guidebooks. Also, if there are any tips on what times are best to go, or how to order like a local, I'd love to hear them!

5 Day Itinerary for Rhodes Recommendation

I’m planning a 5-day trip to Rhodes and could use some advice on how to make the most of my time there. I want to experience a mix of history, culture, beaches, and local cuisine.

If you’ve been to Rhodes before, what would you recommend as must-see spots and activities? Should I spend more time exploring the Old Town, or are there other areas of the island that I shouldn’t miss?

I’m also interested in any tips on where to stay, great places to eat, and any hidden gems that might not be in the typical guidebooks.

Any advice on how to structure my days would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to hearing your suggestions!
