I'm planning a trip to Santorini soon and have always dreamed of capturing that iconic red dress photo against the stunning white and blue backdrop of the island. I’ve seen so many beautiful images online and would love to create something similar during my visit.

Could anyone provide some advice on the best way to go about this? I heard there was a business associated with this shot? Is that true? If so, how do I contact them?

There is actually a business that makes this happen d you're talking about the long flowing dress photos that we see? The dress is intense - it would take up a whole suitcase. They have them at whatever business it is... I have never done it so I don't know the details. Hopefully someone can chime in.

Santorini is one of those places that looks stunning no matter where you are, and a red dress against the white and blue buildings will definitely make for a picture-perfect moment. I’ve heard about a business that can help with the whole photo shoot setup, where they sort out everything from the dress to the location. You might want to look up some local photographers or tour companies offering these services; they usually have packages specifically for those iconic shots. I’d also recommend checking out https://www.nixplay.com/ for some awesome frames to show off your photos once you’re back home!

Renting a Jet Ski in Santorini?

I’m planning a trip to Santorini and I’m really looking forward to hitting the water. I’m particularly interested in renting a jet ski to explore the coastline, but I’ve never done it before in Greece, so I’d love some advice.

Can anyone recommend the best places in Santorini to rent a jet ski? I’m looking for a reputable rental spot with good-quality equipment and fair prices. Also, are there any specific areas around the island that are especially great to explore by jet ski, like hidden beaches or cool rock formations?

I’d also appreciate any tips on what to expect in terms of safety, required licenses, or permits for jet skiing in Santorini. Is it worth booking in advance, or is it easy to rent on the spot?

Santorini All Set for Summer?

I’ve been thinking about a summer trip to Santorini, but I’ve heard about the earthquake activity on the island. From what I’ve read, it seems like the situation is under control now, and things are stable—but I wanted to check in with folks who are either there or more in the loop.

Has anyone been to Santorini recently or heard any updates from locals or travel experts? Are businesses open and preparing for the usual summer rush? I know the island depends heavily on tourism, so I imagine they’re working hard to get everything ready.

How many days in enough is Santorini?

I’ve been to Santorini before and absolutely loved it—but this time, I’m going back with friends who have never been. We’re planning a bit of an island-hopping trip, and I’m trying to figure out how many days we should dedicate to Santorini without feeling rushed, but also leaving time for other islands.

I remember there’s a lot to enjoy even just soaking in the views, but I also don’t want them to miss out on the key experiences—Oia sunsets, the hike from Fira to Oia, maybe a winery, and some beach time. We’re not big into overly scheduled days, more go-with-the-flow types.

What would you recommend for first-timers? Is 2 full days enough to get the full experience, or is 3–4 ideal? Would love to hear how long others stayed and whether you felt it was just right or too short!

Alternatives to Oia for Sunset

Hey everyone! Last time I was in Oia, I could barely see the sunset – it was so packed with people! This time, I’m hoping to find a quieter spot to soak in the view without the huge crowds.
I’ve heard Imerovigli might be a good alternative with great caldera views – has anyone watched the sunset from there? Or maybe Firostefani? I’d love recommendations for beautiful, more relaxed spots where I can actually see the sunset.

I’m looking for that iconic Santorini vibe but with fewer people around. Even a nice bar or café with a great view would be perfect! If you’ve found any hidden gems or favorite places to catch the sunset, I’d be grateful for the tips. I want to enjoy the magic of Santorini’s sunset without feeling overwhelmed.

Good Beaches to Visit for Families in Santorini?

I’m planning a trip to Santorini with my family, including two young kids, and I’d love some advice on the best beaches to visit. I’ve heard that Santorini’s beaches are unique with their black, red, and white sands, but I’m looking for ones that are family-friendly.

We’re hoping to find beaches with calm waters, easy access, and perhaps some amenities like sunbeds, umbrellas, and nearby cafes. I’ve read a bit about Kamari Beach and Perissa Beach, but I’d love to hear your thoughts on those or any other recommendations.

Are there any hidden gems that are less crowded but still safe for kids? Do we need to bring water shoes for the pebbly shores, or are there sandy spots perfect for little ones to play?

Thanks so much for sharing your tips and experiences—we can’t wait to explore Santorini’s beaches!
