This is such a weird and genius idea! I'm all for packing the meat and protein on my pizza :) to make this beautiful concoction all you need is to make or buy your choice of souvlaki meat. I prefer to use chicken but you can also use chicken, beef, pork or lamb. My family has a pretty standard souvlaki marinade that we use (oregano, garlic, olive oil, mustard, onion, salt, pepper, and a little bit of Greek yogurt) but you can use any one that you like from the Internet. Get the pizza base ready and then add your meat! I like to add fresh mozzarella cheese, basil, kalamata olives, green peppers and a sprinkle of feta. You can really make this recipe your own! Enjoy

WOW! I guess you could always make a Gyro pizza as well (that would be great too!). 🇬🇷🇬🇷

This is a great idea! I know that Gyro purists probably won't like it, but I love "deconstructed" and "inspired" types of dishes like this, that stick with the flavors of a traditional food like a gyro, but do something totally different with it.

How to make a classic Greek village (horiatiki) salad

This village salad is probably one of the most popular salads in Greece. Many Greeks will start their lunches and dinners with the salad and it is considered to be very healthy, especially when you use local ingredients. All you need to do is chop up the following ingredients and toss it in a salad bowl.

- 3 tomatoes
-Half a red onion
-Half a green pepper
-1 block feta cheese
-2 large spoonfuls of olives
-2 large spoonfuls of olive oil
-2 teaspoons of oregano
-1 teaspoon of salt

How to choose a fresh fish at the fish market!

Choosing a fresh fish is going to be key for your dish and for your health. I don't usually go to the fish market when I'm home, but when I'm on vacation, and especially in Greece, I love going to the market to get fresh fish from local fishermen. If you don't know how to pick fresh fish, here is a great tutorial on how!

What are some of the easiest Greek recipes?

I'm looking for something super simple to make this weekend. I'm so tired from a long work week and I just want something healthy and of course Greek to snack on. Does anyone have some super simple and easy Greek recipes that I can make at home?

Is it possible to grow olives outside of Greece?

This is for all of the users that have a green thumb.... I've always wanted to grow olives in my backyard, but part of me thinks that they will never taste as good as the ones that I get from Greece. Is it even worth trying? For a little bit of context, I live in Montreal where the summers are warm but the winters are pretty cold and snowy. Has anyone tried this out themselves?
