Most relaxing beaches on Rhodes?

I could use some updated advice. When I sit at the beach, I don’t want it to be crazy—I’m looking for calm, quiet, and a bit of space to breathe. I just found out in another thread that some of the beaches I was considering for my upcoming trip to Rhodes have changed a lot over the years—apparently some are way more crowded or developed now than they used to be.

Does anyone have recommendations for truly relaxing beaches on the island? I don’t need beach bars or party vibes—just clear water, a peaceful atmosphere, and preferably not packed with sunbeds wall to wall. A little taverna nearby would be a bonus, but I’m happy packing my own lunch too.

Are there any spots that still feel a bit under the radar, or at least mellow during certain times of day? I’d really appreciate any suggestions from recent visitors.

Interesting Hiking Options on Rhodes?

I’ll be visiting Rhodes this summer, possibly in late July or August, and I’d love to do some hiking while I’m there. I know Rhodes has some beautiful landscapes, but I’m looking for recommendations on the best trails, especially ones with great views or historical significance.

Are there any must-do hikes that offer stunning coastal views, forested areas, or interesting ruins along the way? I’d also love to hear about any hidden gems that aren’t too crowded.

Since it’ll be quite hot, I’m wondering if there are any trails with some shade or ones that are best done early in the morning or late afternoon. Also, are there any hikes that end near a beach where I could cool off with a swim?

Ancient Kamiros: Worth Visiting?

I’m heading to Rhodes soon and putting together my list of historical sites to check out. I’ve got Lindos and the Old Town locked in, but I keep coming across Ancient Kamiros—and I’m torn on whether it’s worth the detour.

I’m into ancient ruins and Greek history, but I’ve already seen places like Knossos and Delphi, so I’m wondering how Kamiros compares. Is it well-preserved? Do you need a guide to really appreciate it, or is it still impressive if you go solo?

Also curious how long to budget for the visit—just a quick look or something you can really explore for a couple of hours?

Would love to hear your honest takes: is Kamiros worth the trip, or should I focus on other sites while I’m on the island? Thanks in advance!

Traditional Dishes to Try While on Rhodes?

I’ll be visiting Rhodes this summer, and I can’t wait to explore the island’s food scene! I know Greek cuisine is amazing, but I’d love to try local dishes that are unique to Rhodes.

Are there any must-try specialties that I shouldn’t miss? I’ve heard about pitaroudia (chickpea fritters) and lakani (a slow-cooked meat dish), but I’d love more recommendations—whether it’s seafood, traditional meze, or local desserts.

Also, if you have any restaurant or taverna recommendations, I’d really appreciate it! I want to experience authentic, home-style cooking rather than just touristy spots. Bonus points if it’s by the sea with a great view!

Looking forward to your tips and suggestions—thanks in advance!
