I haven't been myself, but I've heard amazing things. The village is very much based around its waterfront with many private yachts and small fishing boats. I would love to sit at small waterfront restaurants and enjoy the food and beautiful views. It seems like one of the nices spots on the island! I would totally visit.

Fiscardo is absolutely beautiful, with a good variety of restaurants and bars. The waterfront is so pretty, with all the boats bobbing around and the colourful venetian buildings, and good food can be found everywhere. Prices are a little higher than other villages on the island, but worth it for the beautiful surroundings and stunning views of Ithaca and Lefkado. Some really nice hotels there too. My personal favourite is the Hotel Almyra, which is a 15 min uphill walk from the village, but is absolutely lovely and has wonderful views. Can't fault it!

So true, prices are a little higher but totally worth it. Greece is still quite affordable in comparison to other tourist destinations. You can always haggle at stores (but not too much, you should still pay people what they're worth).

I have actually never been but from what I understand, scuba diving is a popular activity in the area. In general, Kefalonia is known for being a stunning place with a lot of natural beauty, so no matter where you go on the island, there is always a great outdoor activity to try.

Do you mind sharing the picture? I'd love to see what the village looks like

Have you tried Mandola? Its Kefalonias most famous sweet

Mandola is a very popular sweet in Kefalonia and it is one of the biggest exports from the island. This treat is made of almond, honey, sugar and egg whites. The dessert has a few different variations, but is usually gluten free! The ingredients are very simple which is why they are so allergen friendly. I was doing some research and apparently these cookies are originally from the Venetian occupation in Kefalonia.

Ammes beach is one of the best beaches on Kefalonia

Ammes beach is in the Svoronata area which is very close to the airport. Its about 10 km southwest of Argostoli and one of the best beaches on the island! It's a pretty low-key beach with some great organized lounge chairs but as with most beaches in Greece, you can find a public spot where you can swim with ease and free of charge. The beach is super sandy and the waters are very clear. I highly recommend it!

Check out this beautiful traditional Greek music and dance in Kefalonia

This is some of the most beautiful Greek traditional music and dance that I have seen. If anyone knows the name of the actual song and the type of dance, please let me know. I hope that one day I'll be able to visit the island and join in on one of the celebrations. I'm not even sure what they're celebrating, but it looks great. If anyone has more information on the video, I would love to know.

Hiking up Mount Ainos in Kefalonia

This is one of the best hikes you can do on the island, and in the region for sure. It can be a bit difficult for those who aren't experienced, so I do recommend that you hike in a group or with a tour guide. Of course, you don't have to hike all the way up and you can travel part of the way by car. What's important is that you enjoy the views and you do as much as you can. This video showcases the stunning views for anyone who is interested in going.

These are the top monasteries that you should visit in Kefalonia

If you were interested in learning about the Greek Orthodox religion, monasteries are a great way to start. They represent a very traditional and preserved part of the religion, that you will not find in the church. I always recommend visiting operating monasteries so that you can get an opportunity to see the monks. Here are some of the top ones in my opinon

1. Monastery of Argilion
2. Monastery of Agios Andreas
3. Monastery of Lagouvarda
4. Monastery of Sissia
