If you ask me, I personally don't love going to the beach near the city. I find that the beaches aren't the best, but if you're touring the city and interested in going for a quick swim, these are your best options. The video does a great job of showing exactly what the beaches are like! Websites will show you photoshopped pictures that are edited to show the clearest waters and cleanest beaches. That's why I like to go to YouTube to see the reality of what I'm signing up for.

Sometimes the city beaches are good in that there are things to do, like restaurants and nightclubs, nearby. So I like to sit on the beach for an hour or two and then have a nice meal. If I want a nice, long beach day, I tend to get further away from the cities.

I totally agree. When I am in Thessaloniki, I prefer the beaches that are a bit outside of the city. The ones close to the city are a bit too busy for my tastes.

Public transportation in Thessaloniki?

I'm planning a trip to Thessaloniki and would appreciate some advice on the public transportation system. How reliable and convenient are the buses? Are there any other public transport options I should consider? Also, is it easy to get around the city without a car? Any tips on purchasing tickets or navigating the routes would be really helpful. We're hoping to explore the city extensively, so any insights on the best ways to get around would be greatly appreciated.
