The airport rail will take you all the way into Athens. Just make sure you are aware of everyone around you and keep your luggage close to you. Otherwise, should be all good! I've used this before and haven't had a problem.

Rail or bus are easy, there are buses that will take you directly to Syntagma square and the rail can take you directly to join the metro

It's easy to use and most of the time, it's reliable. I've heard of people having some interesting detours. Some people that I know - one time they were taking a bus to the airport and the driver decided to take a detour to get a coffee without telling the passengers, and everyone was just sitting there on the bus . My friends were nervous they'd miss their flight. The Greeks on the bus weren't bothered and thought it was normal. Personally, I prefer either renting a car and driving myself or taking a taxi.

These are the best hookah lounges in Athens

Hookah lounges are becoming more and more popular in Athens and Greece. Originally, this was an ottoman tradition that faded out. But now it’s coming back, as it is all over the world. Cigarettes and vaping are also pretty popular, so the tobacco culture is definitely there in Greece. The two larges that I recommend are Misafir and Hookaholic. I’ve been to both, and the vibes and service were great. I ordered food, and drinks, and Shisha and was very pleased. Definitely check them out next time you’re in the city.

Athens for 2 nights

I will be coming to Athens with my family for 2 nights. What are the must do during this time? What would you recommend?

Beautiful views from our day trip to Aegina

We took a wonderful day trip to Aegina from Athens! The ferry boat was so short and delightful. It took about one hour from Piraeus which is the country’s largest port. We rented an ATV which was about 35€ for the day and took it around the whole island. It’s definitely not touristy and much more quiet than other islands. I definitely recommend it for a quick getaway.

View of the Acropolis from Thisseio

Thisseio is a great place for cafes and rooftop bars and restaraunts that have stunning views of the acropolis both during the day and at night. This picture was taken from Thisseio View, a cafe named perfectly for one of the best views in the city. The food is pretty good, nothing amazing but definitely worth going for a drink and a snack.

Check out Vouliagmeni for classy beachside restaurants

Vouliagmeni is about half an hour from Athens by car and is a great place for beachside dining. I find that this area has amazing views and is much less crowded than Athens. I haven't been to any beaches there, so please let me know if there are good spots to swim nearby. I usually go for dinner if im staying in Athens and then take a taxi back. My favorite spots are Ithaki and Lavros. :) Check them out!
