I’ll be visiting Rhodes for three days soon and would love some advice on the must-see attractions! I’m interested in a mix of history, culture, and natural beauty, but with only a short time, I want to make sure I hit the highlights.

What are the absolute must-visit spots that I shouldn’t miss? I’m especially curious about any hidden gems or local favorites that might not be in every guidebook. Also, any tips on the best way to plan my days to maximize my experience would be fantastic.

I suggest you explore Rhodes Old town. Ancient Kamiros is on the west side of the island, so you could explore some of that side as well. Both are World heritage sites. Then just drive down the EAST coast & stop to explore some of the villages.

For a three-day visit to Rhodes, make sure to explore the Medieval Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site filled with cobbled streets, the Palace of the Grand Master, and charming shops and cafes. Don’t miss the Acropolis of Lindos with its stunning views and ancient ruins—it’s a bit of a climb, but well worth it!

For natural beauty, head to Anthony Quinn Bay for crystal-clear waters perfect for swimming and snorkeling. If you’re into hidden gems, visit the Valley of the Butterflies, especially in summer when it’s teeming with colorful butterflies.

To make the most of your time, dedicate one day to the Old Town, another to Lindos and surrounding beaches, and the last to exploring the west coast’s castles and quaint villages. Renting a car or using local bus tours can help you cover more ground efficiently.

anthony quinn bay has to be the worst beach on Rhodes. sharp rocks on the beach & in the sea. sunloungers are packed close together.for some reason popular with noisy italians .no butterflys at the valley just rather dull tiger moths.to visit castles you will need to hire a car .

Information About Walking at Mandraki Harbor?

I night be planning a trip to Rhodes soon, and I keep hearing about how beautiful Mandraki Harbor is — especially for an evening stroll. I’ve seen photos of the deer statues at the entrance and the line of old windmills along the water, and it looks absolutely magical.

I was wondering if anyone could share more details about what it’s like to walk there. Is the whole harbor area pedestrian-friendly, or are there sections with car traffic to watch out for? Are there benches or spots to sit and enjoy the view?

Also, are there cafes or ice cream places along the way where you can stop? I’d love to know if it’s lively in the evenings, or more peaceful and quiet. Any tips?

Local wines to try in Rhodes?

I’m starting to gather ideas for a possible late fall trip to Rhodes and one thing I’d really love to explore is the local wine. I’m Greek and have been to Greece many times, but never to Rhodes, so I’m not familiar with the island’s wine scene at all.

I’ve read that Rhodes has a long tradition of winemaking and that certain villages, like Embonas, are known for their vineyards. Are there particular grape varieties or labels I should look for? Any local favorites that don’t make it to the mainland but are worth seeking out while I’m there?

I’d also love to know if there are wineries that offer tastings or tours in the fall, and whether that’s a good season for visiting vineyards in Rhodes.

If you’ve had wine in Rhodes that made an impression, I’d be grateful for your recommendations!
