What's the Beach in Mykonos?

I visited Mykonos a few years ago and had the most amazing time—but now I’m trying to plan a return trip, and I can’t for the life of me remember the name of one particular beach I loved.

It had a relaxed vibe, not too crazy with the party scene, and there was a taverna right on the beach that served grilled fish and wine. I remember the sand was soft, the water was crystal clear, and it wasn’t packed like Paradise or Super Paradise. I think there might’ve been sunbeds, but it still felt low-key and not too commercial.

Does this ring a bell for anyone? Maybe Ornos? Agios Ioannis? Or could it have been Agios Sostis? I wish I had taken better notes, ha!

Your description immediately made me think of Agios Sostis. It’s exactly the kind of beach you’re describing. No beach bars or loud music, just soft sand, turquoise water, and a peaceful, natural vibe. And right above it is Kiki’s Taverna, a local favorite that’s famous for grilled meats and fish, great wine, and no electricity, just charcoal grilling and a killer view. There are no sunbeds directly on the beach, which helps preserve the laid-back feel.

Agios Ioannis and Ornos are nice too, but both are more developed with organized sections and a slightly more upscale feel. For something chill with food nearby, also check out Fokos Beach, another hidden gem with a rustic taverna right at the edge of the sand.
