I'm fully vaccinated, have a current passport, all ready to go for 3 months (fully paid coz I haven't used up my leave over the past 2 years), just waiting for Australian international borders to open. I'm hoping I can buy tickets late this year or early next year. I can't wait to spend time in Athens again and go and visit some islands. Also planning to fly to Paris for about a week. Hopefully it will become reality and not stay a dream...

I'm fully vaccinated as well and live in AU, partially locked down at the moment.
I'm hoping to travel to Europe next July but I'm not booking flights until very close to the time I will fly out . Even pre Covid I never book far ahead.

Hey Jerry, hope the borders open up so that we in AU can travel to Greece next year. I'm curious about how you book flights. I usually book for the next Greek summer in Nov/Dec the year before (about 6 months before I fly). That's when the offers seem to be best. I usually fly Emirates and it costs me about $2k per return ticket.

I'd be interested to know how you book your tickets so close to the date and how much they cost you.

All the best,
Vangelis

I have been to many weddings in 25 years.... most of them all nighters into the next day and beyond, beautiful church ceremonies....The biggest was with easily over 1000 people, different parts of the evening....Unbelievably energetic celebrations...❤️❤️.. Let us know how you enjoy yourself....I want to post a video but I must ask my Doctor friend before I do this!

Sounds like the best wedding ever, I wish that one of my friends gets married soon and I can go to another wedding

What is your favorite itinerary for a 1 week family trip to Greece?

If you were to plan the perfect vacation to Greece with kids, what would you recommend? I am looking for something exciting with lots of sightseeing and activities, and of course, the beach! I like to take my sons to some museums and cultural centres because I like to keep them educated and learning even while were traveling. That's actually one of the reasons why I like to visit Greece. So many of my friends like to stay pent up in resorts but I find that its too limiting and it ends up even being a little boring. So if anyone has advice for where I can go for a week with my sons I would really appreciate it!

Greece has now approved a fourth covid vaccine shot for at risk people

Greece has just announced that it has approved a fourth booster shot for people who are most at risk. This means that those who qualify and under their doctors approval can obtain an additional shot to prevent themselves from contracting COVID-19. I'm not sure if this applies for travellers and non-citizens, as usually in order to get a vaccine or a Covid test you need to have some form of healthcare in Greece, either private or public.

Travel requirements for Greece and Cyprus updated!

To enter Cyprus and Greece, you are required to have a negative PCR test. Both countries are also requiring that you fill out specific forms when you enter. You should also bring a proof of vaccination that is preferably translated into English or Greek. Some people usually carry these on their phones, but I also think it's best to have a copy printed on paper just in case your phone dies, also some border officers are a little more old-school and might prefer a paper copy.

Greece has now decreased quarantine to 5 days

Just like the United States, Greece has decreased quarantine from 10 days to 5 as a result of increased knowledge about the virus. The quarantine is 5 days as long as you are asymptomatic. If you have symptoms, you should quarantine until you feel better and then wait 5 days. This means that people will spend a lot less time tied up in quarantine and it also means that they are not contagious for a long period of time as we previously thought!
