My daughter who is 20 wants to go on vacation with her friends in Corfu for the first week of September. She wants to live it up after a sad two years of quarantine and not being able to leave the country. Where is the best place for a young and fun loving girl trip?

Corfu is an amazing Greek island and there are different areas and things to do based on your daughters interests.

Here are a few Corfu travel guide/resources to review with her to figure out which region is better:

Corfu is an excellent choice! I like Corfu because there is a lot to do, not just beaches and nightlife.

Check out Casa Parlente in Corfu

This is one of the best places to visit when in Corfu! I highly recommend visiting this 19th century mansion that shows you history in a super unique way. The museum has animatronic figures inside, so it can be a little creepy lol. I don't recommend taking small children to visit, they might get spooked. The museum is right by the water so its great for a short visit and then a stroll

Corfu is one of the best places for a honeymoon getaway

Corfu is a great spot for a honeymoon for those looking to stay in a single destination or for those who want to island hop! You can go to Lefkada and Kefalonia since they are pretty close, I suggest going by boat although you can also choose to fly if you prefer. If you want to go somewhere romantic, I suggest the old town and Arillas beach. There are really great hotels on the South Eastern part of the island by the coastline.

What is the weather like in Corfu during the winter?

I am thinking of visiting some friends for New Year's in Corfu this winter, but I have no experience with travelling to Greece outside of the summertime. What is it like in Corfu during December and January? I know that lately there have been a lot of changes to the weather and Greece has seen a lot more snow. What hasn't been like so far this year? And does anyone have any predictions for the rest of the season? I would really appreciate hearing a first hand account, thanks!

You must try sofrito when visiting Corfu

Sofrito is one of Greece's best regional dishes! The recipe consists of a sauce made from parsley and spices that are used to marinade veal. The dish is a stew, which is super popular in Greece although most stews are called "kokinista" which are stews with tomato sauce. This stew is one of the few in Greece that is not made from a red sauce which is why you should really try it when you're visiting Corfu!!
