This class will give you hands-on training on how to mix, roll and shape pastry dough for a variety of shapes and sizes of pies. Similar to an Italian Calzone, these savory Greek pies can be filled with an array of scrumptious ingredients. You’ll learn how to fill your pies, choosing from an assortment of vegetarian and non-vegetarian with ingredients like Italian bacon, cheese, tomato, spinach, caramelized onions and herbs. At the end we’ll bake our pies to perfection and learn about the origins of pie making in ancient Greece and around the world.
No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).
Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, especially if you’re part of a large group. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. Outside drinks are not allowed. 21+ only.
