2345 24th Avenue (between Santiago & Taraval)

San Francisco, CA

A Vasilopita — Greek community historical memorabilia will be on display….. The location is across the street from McCoppin Square Park and one block from Abraham Lincoln High School. We will have Greek community historical memorabilia on display and we will have a guest speaker.

About the Historical Society: Our group was formed in 2010. We are a non-profit corporation based at Annunciation Cathedral in San Francisco. Anyone with an interest in the history of the Greek community is invited to attend and become an member if they wish to do so. Our members engage our community and take an active role in documenting the history of the Greek community in the San Francisco Bay Area.

We have developed an archive of historical photographs, historical video, and memorabilia. We work closely with our sister organizations within the San Francisco Metropolis. We archive photographs, video, memorabilia, capture oral histories on DVD, and create historical displays.

Our work is being documented on the sanfranciscogreeks.com web site. The work we do is truly rewarding and leaves a lasting legacy for future generations.
