How to eat authentic food in Corfu, Greece!

Nothing is better than trying out authentic Greek food in Corfu. The best thing you can do, is make friends with locals and try out some local dishes like sofrito, pastitsada, and savoro. Like many different foods in Greece, Corfu has some of the best and freshest seafood so I highly recommend trying out any seafood dishes!! Let me know if you like this video :)

 
The food on Corfu is delicious! I agree, finding a local t show you around the cuisine is the best. They're so hospitable and knowledgeable, and they love to share their cuisine.

It has been a while since I have been to Corfu. I kept trying to go, but it keeps falling through.

Ignore the several-minutes long plug for a product! That part I know was necessary because they were a sponsor.

Religious Sites to See on Corfu

There are a lot of churches and monasteries in Corfu and when I visit, I won't have a lot of time. What should be my priorities?

I am intrigued by the relics of Saint Spyridon but am having trouble finding where they are on the island. Is it simply called, the Shrine of Saint Spyridon?

I would love to visit some other churches and monasteries if possible. Any information you have will be good!

List of traditional Corfu villages to visit?

I am researching the possibility of traveling to Corfu this year. What are some villages we must see? I have a list of six or so that I find intriguing - anything to add or subtract?

I'm planning a trip to Corfu and, as someone deeply fascinated by Byzantine history, I'm eager to discover all the Byzantine sites and remnants the island has to offer. Could anyone share recommendations on must-visit Byzantine sites in Corfu? Are there specific churches, museums, or ruins that stand out? I'm particularly interested in places that offer a glimpse into the everyday life and the architectural magnificence of the Byzantine period.

Additionally, if there are any tips on guided tours or resources for deepening my understanding of Byzantine history while in Corfu, I would greatly appreciate it. I’m also curious about any local guides or historians specializing in this era.

Spend the day at Corfu Old Town?

Can you spend an entire day just exploring Corfu Old Town? I'm planning my itinerary for a trip to the gorgeous island of Corfu, and from what I've seen, the Old Town looks like a mosaic of historical and cultural influences with Venetian, French, and British vibes.

Has anyone here spent a day (or more) solely in the old part of the city? How was your experience? Are there enough sights, cafes, shops, and hidden gems to keep one entertained for the full day? I'm looking to soak up as much of the local atmosphere as possible without rushing through.

I am curious what you guys think and any advice you may have. Thanks!
