The best hidden spot in Mykonos (well I hope it's hidden) is a bar/restaurant called 180 degrees! The views are just stunning and the setup of the tables is so cool, you sit on puffs on the floor with low laying tables 180° Sunset Bar Mykonoshttps://180.bar

This is interesting! Thank you for sharing - I really enjoyed Mykonos when I was there, but I didn't have long because it was a cruise stop.

Which Mykonos beaches are best when the meltemi winds are strong?

I'm hoping to visit Mykonos on a future trip to Greece, and I've been doing some research about the island's beaches. One thing that keeps coming up is the meltemi winds, which apparently can get pretty strong during the summer months!

I've read that some beaches are much more exposed to the wind than others, and I'm wondering which ones are best for swimming and relaxing when the meltemi is blowing.

From what I've gathered, beaches on the southern side of Mykonos tend to be more sheltered, but I'm not sure which ones offer the most protection. I've seen Ornos, Platis Gialos, and Psarou mentioned as possibilities.

For those who have spent time in Mykonos during the windy season, which beaches would you recommend? Are there certain beaches you would avoid altogether on particularly windy days?

I’m starting to plan a trip to Mykonos and one of the things I’d really love to experience is a beautiful sunset, but ideally somewhere beyond the most crowded, obvious spots. Renting a Car on Mykonos?

I’m heading to Mykonos for a week and trying to decide if renting a car is worth it for at least a few days. Normally when I travel to Greek islands, I like walking and using buses when possible, but this trip might be a little different.

The apartment we rented looks beautiful, but it’s a bit tucked away from Mykonos Town and not really within walking distance of much. I’m starting to wonder if relying on taxis all week will become expensive or inconvenient, especially at night.

For people who have been recently, would you recommend renting a car? Was parking difficult around the island or beaches? Also, how are the roads for someone who hasn’t driven there before?

I’m mainly hoping to explore beaches, tavernas, and spend some evenings in town without constantly stressing about transportation. Trip is during the summer.

One Week in Mykonos?
