Excellent and exceptionally good value for holiday/second homes.
Mykonos property market unreachable by most @ €20,000 per Sq Mt and there are restrictions as well!.... updated October 2024....a halt on planning permission and all buildings as I understand from the Kathemerini Forum from the PM!

The Mykonos property market is quite exclusive, and its sky-high prices make it challenging for most buyers. It is fascinating to see how other regions offer excellent value for holiday and second homes.

Greece is the second most affordable country in the EU for property, which is quite a revelation. I've always thought it was a beautiful place, with its stunning landscapes and rich history. Imagine waking up to those fantastic views every day! It might be a golden opportunity if you're considering investing there.
The lifestyle there seems relaxed, too. Plus, you can't beat the food—who doesn’t love Greek cuisine? Whether you're eyeing a cozy apartment in Athens or a charming villa on an island, the options seem endless. If you want to dive deeper into the market, I’d recommend checking out resources like singapore-dubai-investments.com . They can provide some solid insights.

Good Greek Mainland Destinations to Stay At?

Hey all, I am wondering if there are any good places to stay in Mainland Greece that are beyond Athens. I’ve done the typical island-hopping thing before, but I feel like the mainland is full of gems that often get overlooked. I’d love recommendations for towns or regions that are beautiful, culturally rich, and good for staying a few days.

I’m into history, local food, and scenic views, and I would also love a nice area nearby with restaurants and cafes. I’ve heard good things about Nafplio and Metsovo, but I’m open to all suggestions—whether it’s coastal, mountain, or something totally off the radar.

Tips for Visiting the Dodecanese Islands

Hi everyone! I’m planning a trip to the Dodecanese Islands and could use some advice on which islands to prioritize. There are so many to choose from—Rhodes, Kos, Symi, Patmos, Karpathos, Astypalaia, and more—but I won’t have time to see them all.

I love a mix of history, beautiful beaches, authentic Greek food, and charming villages. I’d love to visit at least one island with a lively atmosphere and another that’s more off-the-beaten-path. If you’ve been, which ones stood out to you the most?

Also, any general tips for visiting the Dodecanese? Is island-hopping easy between them? Are there ferry routes that work well for multiple stops, or would it be better to focus on just 1–2 islands?

Has anyone visited Delphi?

I’m planning a trip to Delphi and would love some advice from anyone who has been there. I’m particularly excited to see the archaeological site and the famous Temple of Apollo, but I’d also like to know if there are any hidden gems nearby worth exploring.

Do you have recommendations for the best times to visit to avoid crowds? Are there local guides you’d suggest? Also, I’m curious about nearby restaurants or cafes that serve authentic Greek food.

Any tips on where to stay in the area or how much time to set aside for a visit would be fantastic too. Thanks in advance!

Best Greek Beaches for First Time Visitors?

I'm basically asking for a friend — it's been decades since I was a first-time visitor to Greece, so I don’t really remember what that fresh, wide-eyed perspective feels like anymore. I’m definitely biased when it comes to Greek beaches… Elafonissi in Crete is hands-down my favorite, and of course I already told my friend to put it on their list.

But I figured I’d ask you all: what are the best beaches in Greece for someone visiting for the first time?

They’re looking for something beautiful, memorable, and not too hard to get to. Bonus points for spots with nearby tavernas or charming villages. I’d love to pass along some of your suggestions so they can make the most of their trip.

So — what beaches made you fall in love with Greece the first time you went?

Tips for Exploring Mainland Greece by Car?

I’m of Greek descent and have visited Greece many times, but I’ve always stayed in one place or traveled by bus and ferry. This year, I’m thinking of doing something different, renting a car and exploring the mainland! I’d love any tips or advice from those who’ve done it before.

Are the roads easy to navigate? What areas are especially worth driving through—Peloponnese, Zagori, Meteora? I’m hoping to see some smaller villages, mountains, and historical sites I wouldn’t reach otherwise.

Is it better to rent in Athens and drive out, or start from a smaller city? How’s parking in towns? I’m also a little nervous about signage and rural driving.

Would really appreciate any recommendations on routes, stops, or driving tips in general. I want this trip to feel both adventurous but I don't want to feel stressed. I heard driving in Greece could be stressful.
