I was reading in the forum about something called ladopsomo - is this Greek fried bread? I am trying to find an example of a recipe and what it looks like. It seems like an easy thing to have quick bread for a meal, but I can't find a good recipe that makes sense to me. I asked one of my friends and she said to use "any regular bread dough".
But, I don't actually make a lot of bread so don't know what that means!

Do you guys have any advice? I want to try to make this dish soon.

When I make this I tend to use any type of bread dough I feel like putting together. I tear off chunks of dough once it proofed, flatten it with my palm, and cook it in oil.

What is the best street food in Greece?

What do you consider the best street food in Greece? Are there any specific dishes or local delicacies that you dream of having again? Also, if you have recommendations for particular places or vendors, that would be fantastic!

Us? We are grilling a leg of lamb and serving it with lemon potatoes and fasolakia. For dessert we are doing some kind of a chocolate cake and of course koulourakia.

Traditional Greek soups in Greece?

Most of the Greeks I know are from the United States - so it's been a few generations since a lot of them spent extended time in Greece.

From what I understand, Greek cuisine kind of changes. From what I can tell, in the United States, the most popular soup is Egg and Lemon soup (avgolemono) but in Greece, I don't see to as much or rather, hear of it as much.
