Hi everyone! I absolutely love making spoon sweets and usually stick to the classic favorites like sour cherry and quince. But with summer in full swing, I’ve been wondering what fresh seasonal combinations you all enjoy this time of year.
Have you tried making spoon sweets with more unusual summer fruits or even with herbs or floral elements? I’ve seen recipes that use watermelon rind, fig, and even tomato — but I haven’t experimented much outside the traditional ones yet. I’m also curious if anyone has tried pairing fruits (like peach with lavender or cherry with mint) or using citrus zest in new ways.
Do you have any go-to summer spoon sweets that are refreshing and a little different? I’d love to expand my repertoire and maybe even make a few batches as gifts.
Any favorite combinations, tips for balancing sweetness, or flavor surprises would be amazing to hear!
