Has anyone ever taken a boat trip around the island of Rhodes?

From what I've researched, there are a plethora of options, from luxurious yachts to quaint sailing boats, each promising an unforgettable journey across the Aegean Sea. 🌊

What I'm Looking For:

  • Recommendations for boat tour companies you trust.
  • Tips on hidden gems and must-see spots along the coastline or nearby islets.
  • Any advice on the best time of day or year for smooth sailing.
  • Insights on what to bring apart from the obvious (sunscreen, hat, camera—you get the drift).
Anything you can help me with is very much appreciated!

There is a boat trip to Kallithea spa with swim stops on the way. It departs from A small harbour not far from the tourist port. Its next to a boat selling sea shells. In the summer you can see its web camera operating live .

This sounds divine, I always wanted to do something like this in Greece! There are therapeutic waters here, right? And it's a natural spring? The whole experience sounds fun. I don't have immediate plans to go to Rhodes, but this is definitely on my list.

Taking a boat trip in Rhodes is an excellent way to explore the stunning coastline and nearby islets while enjoying the beauty of the Aegean Sea. Here's some information and recommendations based on your queries:

1. Recommendations for reliable boat tour companies:

  • Some reputable boat tour companies include Rhodes Sea Lines, Mandraki Harbour Tours, and Sail the Blue Yachting. These companies offer various types of boat tours, from private yacht charters to group sailing excursions, catering to different preferences and budgets.
2. Tips on hidden gems and must-see spots along the coastline or nearby islets:

  • Hidden gems along the Rhodes coastline include Mavros Kavos, Hidden Beach in Stegna, and Lindos Beach, known for their crystal-clear waters and picturesque surroundings. Nearby islets worth visiting include Symi, known for its colorful neoclassical architecture, and Chalki, a tranquil island with charming villages.
3. Any advice on the best time of day or year for smooth sailing:

  • The best time for smooth sailing in Rhodes is during the summer months (June to August) when the weather is warm and the sea is calm. Mornings and late afternoons tend to have calmer seas, making them ideal for boat trips. However, it's essential to check weather forecasts and sea conditions before setting sail.

Hidden Gems in Lindos?

I’m planning a trip to Rhodes and will be spending a few days in Lindos. I’ve already got the main attractions on my list, like the Acropolis and the beautiful St. Paul’s Bay, but I’d love to discover some hidden gems that might not be on the typical tourist radar.

Are there any lesser-known spots or unique experiences in Lindos that you’d recommend? I’m particularly interested in charming local cafes, quiet beaches, secret viewpoints, or any special places where I can soak up the authentic atmosphere of the village. I’d also love tips on any hidden alleyways with beautiful architecture or local shops that sell unique souvenirs.

Additionally, if there are any specific local dishes or lesser-known tavernas that serve amazing food, I’m all ears! I’m excited to explore and appreciate any advice to make my Lindos visit extra special.

Local Shopping Advice for Rhodes?

I’m planning a trip to Rhodes soon and would love some advice on the best places for local shopping. I’m especially interested in finding authentic products like handmade crafts, jewelry, local wines, and olive oil. Are there specific markets or shops that you recommend for buying unique Rhodian goods?

I’ve heard the Old Town is a great spot for shopping, but I’d love to know more about what I can expect there, or if there are other areas on the island worth checking out. Any tips on haggling, or should I expect fixed prices? Also, if anyone knows where I can find good quality local ceramics or textiles, that would be wonderful. Thanks in advance!

Greek generosity

I was shopping in my favourite supermarket this morning near my apartment . It was the name day of a member of staff . From a box , He offered me a cream cake. I was so grateful to him .

Todays weather

Tavernas in Lindos to Try?

I am still looking for recommendations on Tavernas in Lindos to try. I haven't been to Lindos, yet. Also what dishes should I try?

Any advice on making reservations or what times are best to avoid crowds would be super helpful too. I want to make the most of my time and enjoy some truly memorable meals. Thanks!
