Hi everyone! I'm a huge fan of Greek cuisine and have been exploring various dishes for a while now. However, I've noticed that there seem to be significant differences between the foods from different regions of Greece. For example, I've heard that the cuisine in Crete is quite distinct from what you'd find in the northern regions like Macedonia or Thessaly.
I'm really curious to learn more about these regional variations. What are the key differences in ingredients, cooking techniques, or flavors between, say, Cretan cuisine and the dishes from the Peloponnese or the Cyclades? Are there any unique regional dishes or specialties I should look out for?
I've just been observing that there are all kinds of different dishes out there from different parts of Greece (I suspect) - so I appreciate any insights.
