It is an amazing experience. We have seen two performances - one was the Royal British Theater Company. Outstanding! Get the upgraded seats with a cushion. It is a several hour drive from Athens, so you may want to consider booking an Airbnb in one of the villages closer to the venue.

I've done guided day tours of Epidaurus and Delphi, when I've entertained guests. They were actually great experiences and included lunch. Also, a nice option is a day cruise that includes Hydra, Poros and Aegina.

My favorite rooftop bar is the Grand Bretagne Hotel in Syntagma Square. It is a bit upper class and expensive, but the service is outstanding. For a more casual option, I would recommend the A for Athens Hotel, which is right next to Monastiraki Metro Station. Enjoy!

Athens team Panathinaikos football plays in Leoforos Stadium in Athens. Panathinakos basketball plays in OACA indoor arena, which was used for gymnastics in the 2004 Olympics. I was at the arena for the Olympics but not for a bball game. I’m more of an Olympiacos fan anyway.
