Athens airport question...

There's a group of us going to Athens and our flights get in the same day, but at different times.

Is there an easy spot to wait for the rest of our group outside of security, like a cafe or restaurant, or even an area with chairs to sit... I have only been to this airport once, and I don't remember any details about what happens after security.

Is there an easy spot to wait for the rest of our group outside of security, like a cafe or restaurant, or even an area with chairs to sit... I have only been to this airport once, and I don't remember any details about what happens after security.

There's a lot outside of security. There's a whole big food court. There's a Starbucks, too. There's a lot of people around because many are waiting to check in. They don't let you check in until 2.5 hours before your flight so people are just waiting around. Recently, I had to do that, and I actually took a nap with my head down on a food court table.
