How do you find the "good" parties on Mykonos?

I went to only one of the beach clubs on Mykonos and it wasn't really my vibe. Yet, I constantly see people partying in Mykonos and it looks fun and they're having a blast. How do these people find those parties?

My questions:

• Are many of these parties private events?
• Are there clubs away from the beaches that are known for their nightlife and DJs?
• Are there different DJs that go to Mykonos? Maybe I can find out about the parties by tracking the DJs?

Another possibility is maybe the party scene really isn't my thing. I appreciate all your thoughts!

Same thing happened to me. When I was there, I was NOT feeling good that day. It was hot, I had a headache. I was only there for a cruise stop. I couldn't figure out where anything was when I got off the ship, and that included a taxi stand. Nothing makes sense to me in Mykonos the way it was laid out. Long story short, I ended up hiring a private driver and that was delightful.

He took us to a a beach club at Paradise Beach where I THOUGHT I would dance my headache right out of my head ... but then I didn't want to because the music wasn't what I expected - it wasn't like a Greek EDM I was expecting .... it was I believe Brazilian music, which I can get at home because I live near a city with a lot of people from Brazil so.... I tried to then sleep off my headache but that didn't work either because the music was too loud. I needed either a quieter beach or a different party.

I am interested to hear what people have to say! I would love to give Mykonos another chance.
