Is it more difficult to island hop in Greece because of covid?

What has been everyones experience? Should I stick to one island instead of jumping around?

This is a good question! My guess is specific islands may have higher covid positivity rates, cases and hospitalizations and could have different guidelines. Hopefully things will normalize a bit more in 2022.

I just returned from my annual tour of Greece, we hopped 15 islands.

It was not difficult at all, as long as you were prepared. A covid recovery letter or vaccine bypasses a PCR test. This could change by next season, but this was the case all summer 2021.

It was more strict when crossing island regions, but within island groups it was less strict. But again, if prepared, its not a hassle at all.

I've traveled Greece both ways, and I like both approaches. It all depends, for me, as to how often I go to Greece. After several years, I realized I have certain places I love, and my preference is to stay at those places for longer.
