Sightseeing Priorities in Mykonos

I will be in Mykonos for about 6-7 days but some of that will be taken up with a wedding and the related festivities.

I estimate I might have 4 full days to sightsee that don't involve the wedding. This isn't a lot of time. I will get at least one beach day, and I would like to get to know the island - its history, culture, etc.

Do you have any suggestions on how to prioritize?

If you have any time in Athens beforehand, visit the Cycladic Museum for a great introduction to the history and art. Mykonos, itself, has a few smaller maritime/folk museums, as well as a half-day trip to the close-by, historic island of Delos. The best idea might be to just wonder around the harbor and streets early before everyone wakes up, visit a bakery, have a coffee and talk to some of the local people.

Great idea to visit that museum! Mykonos can be charming, you jus need to find a way to avoid some of the hectic and crazy party goers. It's totally possible, there are villages and things that the party crowd isn't interested in. I would LOVE to see Delos...
