I visited Super Paradise Beach about ten years ago and really loved it. It had a nice energy - I love the beach and I loved the party atmosphere. I was there in June.

I want to visit Mykonos again sometime in the near future and I am curious - has it changed? I have been hearing stories of people going to Mykonos and not liking the experience, but I am not sure why. Some did say they thought it was too loud, some said it was expensive. It was loud and somewhat expensive back then but I still loved it. Have things changed or is it possible that the people who didn't like it simply didn't like the party vibe?

I like that attitude, Hash! It has a pretty fun atmosphere but if you focus on the price and the expense, it won't be any fun at all. The vibe is fun, and there are ways to save money if you really want. There is no need to always visit every expensive restaurant. There are markets! When I travel sometimes I shop for my own breakfast stuff (I barely eat breakfast and this saves money) and then eat simple lunches, and I will eat out once a day or so, and then spend my money on fun stuff that I really want to do. One of the biggest expenses on that island, I learned, is food related. I even buy my own wine, etc to enjoy on the beach.

There are bakeries now in Mykonos you cannot imagine...all kinds of pastries,Kolorakia, hot spinach and cheese pies etc.... making lunch with cheeses, tomatoes, olives and ham, salami or abundance of fillings to choose from....the best cheap food in Mykonos on the beach is at Paradise beach...and next door......a choice which will make one eat all day long!... very affordable prices, same with beach chairs, open 24 hours for the young energetic party scene!!..... when I visited last time they stacked up a mountain of empty champagne 🍾 🍾 🍾 bottles in one corner 😂.........I used to do marketing for a Dive centre there, one could sit and chill on the sand at the end... fabulous views..... How to take an ATV tour of Mykonos

Mykonos is a pretty small island, and has beautiful winding roads that lead to small villages and stunning beaches. Personally, renting a car is very expensive and not worth the money. I really don't recommend it for Mykonos. Thus, renting an ATV is a great option and allows you to see much of the island at a pretty cheap price. Make sure that you have your drivers lisence or international drivers license though! This website gives you all of the advice that you need....

Everyone is in Mykonos this year!

As always Mykonos is the place to be for celebrities around the world! This years guests are Elon Musk, Jordan Belfort, Tristan Thompson, Mohammed Salah, and 50 Cent. While I personally will not be near Mykonos, I like seeing that these celebrities are bringing tourism and income for the Greek people. Greece's tourism industry is booming!

Should I Go to Mykonos Next Time I Visit Greece?

It's been a while since I have been to Mykonos and I am trying to figure out if I should add a few days next time I am in Greece...

Pros:

I like lively beaches with nightlife

Cons:

It's expensive
I don't really know anyone living on the island

I guess it looks like I need to decide if the nightlife is worth it. I mean, there's nightlife all over Greece so I am not sure it makes sense to go out of my way... What do you guys think?

Mykonos has had its Champagne fuelled Tourism

Truthfull to the point, saturation beyond belief, this was happening 20 years ago,my friends who have a travel agency told me'Hash if you want the remember your Mykonos don't come back, keep those memories'thats how much they are fed up with their lives there when it takes 30 minutes just to get somewhere instead of 5 minutes!...It has taken me a very long time to recover missing my Mykonos for it gave me a new life which I didn't have previously..... here is our lovely home for many years which doesn't exist as there is a villa built there now!....
