What are some lesser known dialects of Greek?

I know that Cretan and Cypriot is considered a dialect, but I'm sure they're more that I don't know about. Do any of you or your families speak any of these?

Such a good question! I love learning about the ancient dialects of Greek! There's Pontiaka and Arvanitika in addition to the ones you mentioend

When my family was in Greece, my dad understood the Cretan dialect best. So apparently that must be the version of Greek his family knows, and I don't know why. As far as I know, no one was from Crete (but maybe they were, they just never told us). It's my great grandparents who came from Greece to the United States.
