What are your opinions about the party scene in Mykonos?

I am traveling to Greece this July with a large group of friends and family and we all have different interests.

Some of the people have never been to Mykonos and are pushing for a longer stay because they want to party.

I did all that when I was younger, and it wasn't the greatest. I loved nightclubs back then, too.

What have been your experiences? I found it to be too hot to party hard. I love to dance, and I couldn't really dance much. The beaches made me feel claustrophobic because there was nowhere to really walk and get away from the loud music!

My personal experience is that although I actually love nightclubs, I didn't particularly like the scene at Mykonos. It felt weird to me to be dressed for the beach, and to hear the music, and try to relax on my sun bed while all the chaos was going on.

I clearly wasn't at the right beach for my mood. I like the beach by day to sit and relax, and partying at night in a club!

Ya that is how I feel, as well. Beach by day to relax, party a bit at night. But these days, I don't go to clubs anymore. Back when I was at Mykonos I did enjoy the scene somewhat (when I was younger) but still, deep down, I knew it wasn't my thing.

I've had a similar experience with Mykonos. It can get really hot, and if you're not into the party scene, it might not be as enjoyable. I was there for a festival once, and while the clubs were fun, the heat and crowds made it hard to really relax and dance comfortably. The beaches are beautiful but can feel a bit crowded and loud, which isn’t ideal if you’re looking for a quieter spot.

For a different vibe, I went to a gay event in Los Angeles recently, and it was a blast. The energy was amazing, and the venue had enough space for everyone to dance and enjoy themselves without feeling packed. Maybe your group can mix up the trip with some quieter days or other locations to balance things out.
